I could feel my wolfs growl vibrating through my head leading to wave after wave of nausea and anger. I was familiar with the change trying to force itself out. The agonizing pain as my bones attempted to rearrange themselves and the pain as my muscles stiffened attempting to stop them.
I was familiar with the delirious state of mind that came as my vision focused and refocused as my wolf attempted to take the reins on my vision. My breath came out shaky blowing fog into the stale cold air. The smell of the earth was overpowering and fresh as my senses heightened. I couldn't stop the change. My vision went black as I entered the famished state of my wolf.
My whimpers of pain turning into earth shaking growls as my wolf emerged. The entirety of my body felt light and energized as my wolf frolicked. Scaring birds and chasing mice. She loved swimming in the river the frigid temperatures nearly indiscernible beneath her thick coat.
Exhaustion was not a word in my wolfs mind, her heart pumped faster as we picked up speed. The fog in my mind began to clear as her hunger for control was sated. She was happy to be out again and didn't mind letting me roam with her. I didn't mind being in my wolf form, but a part of me cling to my human nature. It was hard being a turned wolf, growing up human only to become a monster.
I felt the slight twinge of pain as my wolfs emotions flooded into my mind. I felt bad I loved and appreciated her presence and power but I was always on edge that I would hurt someone close to me if my emotions got to strong. At my core I was still human but a part of me understood at my core I was also part wolf.
A rustle in the trees caught my attention as something zipped past me in the trees. Fear prickled through me as I registered the speed of the intruder. My hairs on the back of neck standing up acknowledging the threat. Their presence seemed to exclude from the right so I turned to face them. The slightest twinge of fear filled my mind as I felt their energy it was exotic but powerful. Part of me wanted to investigate the other part of me wanted to run. I could just now make out the shape of the person standing in the shadows.
Strong defined shoulders were visible in the shadows. A dark cloak hung around the figure masking discernible features. He seemed humanoid by his stance but what powers he possessed was indeterminate. My wolf began to growl unsure about whether to charge, the threat remained still, undaunted. Not liking the disrespect to our power my wolf lunged. I fought for control as my wolf barreled towards the figure her claws gripping the earth with every stride. As we moved closer it was obvious how powerful he was, waves of energy rolled off of him. Even my wolf hesitated for a moment at the new found feelings.
Although my wolf and I were one on the fact that this enemy might be too powerful, we were committed. My eyes sharpened as the figure fully came into view as we leapt out of the brush. He quickly fainted out of the way as the figure vanished into the moonlight before I could catch a glimpse of his features. My ears pricked swiveling, trying to find our prey.
There was no scent in the air, confusion and fear began to run through my veins as I meekly attempted to find my elusive prey. Suddenly I felt the energy behind me in the trees, whipping around I greeted my foe. The tree-line obscured his form as shadows from the moonlight danced across his figure. " You don't stand a chance against me" he drawled. Fear crept through me at the seriousness of his tone. I could only growl in response shifting uncomfortably at the dominant presence.
" Leave" he called, I howled like hell I was leaving. He chuckled, there was something attractive about the deep baritone sound he emitted. "Stubborn but as I said before, you don't stand a chance", now I was angry. My feet moved before I could process that I was charging, my wolf enraged at the disrespect to her power. I burst through the tree line only to have his hand slam down on my neck immobilizing me.
A soft whimper escaped me as I came crashing, my vision obscured by black dots as I vaguely heard my bones realigning. I groaned as the transformation completed itself and I was naked and immobile in front of my attacker. " I warned you" he said softly as he approached. " I'm not done yet" as I attempted to stand. All I saw was flash before his hand reconnected with my neck sending me back into the dirt.
Dirt wormed it's way into my mouth, coating my nose. The blow left my head spinning and my body heavy , his chuckle echoing through my ears. " you would be wise to listen" he responded sitting next to me. My eyes scanned his face, bright blue eyes sat atop proud cheek bones, partially hidden by soft brown hair. Overall the male was attractive leaving me feeling awkward about how scantily dressed I was.
" I didn't appear to have much of a choice" I managed to squeak out, the air still not fully returned to my lungs. " you should take care not to trespass in claimed land, rogue" he calmly stated. Confusion swept over me as I remembered packs having claimed territories but I didn't remember them being heavily guarded. " Uh huh" he chuckled as he moved away from me allowing me to struggle to my feet. I felt the world tilt and found myself back on the ground before I could fully stand. " so come here often" I croaked out, annoying at the feebleness to my voice.
I watched as he broke into uncontrollable laughter, his massive frame heaving up and down as he was wrought with spasms. As his laughter died down he crept closer, instinctively my body tried to move away. The dark presence of the male was overpowering. The male awkwardly took his shirt off, placing it clumsily on my exposed body, before moving away again his cheeks tinged a slight red. I groaned as I remembered I was fully naked in front of a strange man, mumbling a thanks I hastily pulled on the shirt only to discover it came to the tops of my knees. He was taller than I originally thought. My eyes wondered towards the male to find him staring at me in an almost crucifying gaze. " So uh, hopefully I never see you again and hope you have a great rest of your night" I awkwardly called as I clambered to feet and began to jog away. "Can you get home without your wolf" he asked calmly. I paused and turned sheepishly, " uh yah it's a left at the large oak, a right at the fern that looks like captain America. " I could sense the males annoyance at my sarcasm. He began to walk towards me his large stride covering an enormous amount of ground, as he neared me he clamped down on my arm. An impossibly strong grip.
" Dude I'm really" I trailed off as he yanked me to the left. " I'll take you home" he grumbled as he began yanking me forward. Begrudgingly I began following Mr. scary, as if I had a choice, hand cuffs seemed softer than his grip. " Axel" he muttered. " I'm sorry?" I responded. " Axel, my name is Axel. I nodded before I remembered he couldn't see me and uttered an okay. " uh, Lily, also to clarify I'm a turned wolf, not a rogue" I called over his shoulder. Axel stopped nearly sending me into his back. " do you know who turned you?" He asked. " no I was hiking when I got bit, I thought it was just a wolf but it obviously wasn't." I replied. He nodded and moved forward again, " I'm sorry this happened to you" the sincerity in his voice catching me off guard.
" Thank you" was the only response I could conjure up and his display of emotion. So Mr. Scary wasn't a sociopath. " Would you stop calling me Mr. Scary" he called over shoulder. I thanked the heavens he couldn't see how bright my face got as I realized I had voiced my thoughts aloud not only once but twice. " I'm sorry about trespassing on your land I just genuinely don't know" I admitted. Axel stopped before turning towards me, " I see that now, I shouldn't have reacted as aggressively as I did, we've had a bad past with rogues." Again this strange man had me at a loss for words with his sincerity.
" So come here often" I mused, his face morphing into a breathtaking smile at our newfound inside joke. " Actually I do, I'm the alpha of these lands that belong to the Black Hollow pack" he laughed. Immediately I backed away a few steps, his hurt discernible. " I don't mean to be rude, I've just heard some scary things about alphas" I mumbled lowering my head. My wolf growled at my weakness urging me to really look him in the eye. Axel growled and walked forward. I felt his hand slip under my chin, warmth spreading, " Look at me" the command in his voice undeniable. Shaking I felt my eyes move on their own to finally fully gaze into Axel's eyes. Our gazes locked and then all I saw was darkness.

Hope y'all like the first chapter! Really hoping to make this story a long and well developed story, assuming my scatterbrained mind doesn't turn it into a train wreck with 70,000 different things going on. Let me know about grammar and spelling or confusion!
