Warning: Possibly the longest chapter I've ever written in this story.

Lavinia POV
When we all sat down at the dining table, Jamie explained everything that happened from the time we left to the moment she arrived. It was pretty crazy but then again...I'm from a place that only exists in fairy tales.
"So what now?" I asked gently, she looked like she had a migraine and her face looked paler than usual.
She rubs both temples before answering. "We just have to wait and see. I didn't have time to ask...as soon as she told me what to do, she teleported me here."
I just nodded. Jamie doesn't seem to grasp how amazing it was that she was talking to a Divine...and not just any Divine...One of the big three.
In our world, there were three things that were constant and therefore important. The course of the sun, the course of the moon and death. Therefore the god of the Sun, the goddess of the moon and the goddess of death were the three supreme divinities.
We went back to eating and I put Kia's plate away...she will most definitely be coming back for that.

Kiara POV
I held him tight to me as his breathing evened out. I felt his heartbeat and his warmth and although they were comforting, the bond was dying.
"Nox, what's happening to our bond?"
He went stiff as if he just realised that the bond was basically nonexistent at this point. He sighed and pulled away to look at me. His eyes were filled with tears. "It's my fault."
I didn't have a chance to ask him to clarify because he just picked me up and zipped to the room. he stopped at the door but stopping at that speed proved a little difficult. He stumbled a little but righted himself and placing me gently on the edge of the bed.
he knelt before me and laid his head on my lap.
"Nox..." I started but he cut me off.
"I want you to look into my memories. I did something stupid but I don't want you thinking I did it on purpose, my love." His eyes were starting to water.
In his new form, his emotions were almost suffocating. But I agreed and brought my head to his, resting my right hand on his chest and the left hand on the back of his head.
We both took a deep breath, and everything went dark.

"Nox?"
"I'm here, Princess."
I felt around this space before I found him. When I went into someone's head for healing or interrogation, it was up to me to find where everything was. I was there against their will, therefore their consciousness was locked away and barred from interfering.
But when I went in with permission, They will be there every step of the way. Kind of like a protective measure...you break into a place, the owners must be locked up before you did anything. But if they invited you in, they can show you around better instead of letting you wander aimlessly.
I felt his warmth and affection as he brought forth a memory.
It was dark...it looked like the tent that he had during the war. I had visited him there a few times during the war. I was with him wearing a loose blue shirt standing up and taking a drink of water from a pitcher, my fresh mark exposed, as he laid back against the headboard, arms behind his head and smiling. I know this because I remember that day, but since we were looking from his point of view, I could only see me. Tired, bed head and sore...but he looked at me like I was the only thing keeping him tethered to the ground.
