Hailey story (Part 1)

Hailey took a deep breathe. She closed her eyes and blew out the candle. She heard cheers from her family. She opened her eyes and her best friend was by her side. She was smiling. Her dad stood beside the cake starting to cut it. Aaron stood on her other side, She looked behind him and saw Lee. He held a knife.

"I told you I would find you" he said walking up. She screamed as the knife went into her eye. Blood poured out but before anything else happened, she woke up.

She sat hop fast, sweat dropping down her face. She was tangled in her sheets, her hair everywhere. She took a deep breathe and sighed. More nightmares. Ever since her birthday, she had been having the same nightmare. She got up, slipping on her slippers. She walked to her kitchen where her dog laid in his bed. She poured water from the sink into the cup she grabbed form the kitchen.

She took a deep breathe and put the glass down. She may need to call Liz, but she had been calling her every night this week. She decided against it. She walked to her couch and turned the tv on. She flipped through the channels. Nothing on but info-mercials and stupid Family guy. She turned it off and laid down. 

Lee was the loner of the family. There mom had died from stomach cancer when she was 7. She remembered her dad breaking down and holding onto her. Lee took it the hardest. He was the first born. He started to hide away and scream at us. Aaron would cry a lot. Lee ended up running away at the age of 15. Hailey was only 11 at the time. He needed up showing up after died in a car accident. She had just turned 18 when he showed up. Aaron was super upset. He scared and yelled at him. All Hailey could do was cry.

Why had Lee left them? He would move in two months later and that's when things got bad. He had new habits. Drugs were a big part of it. He would try to toughen up Aaron by fighting him.  Hailey would be the one to make money. She had a job but not enough to support them all.It was Lee idea for her to become a sex worker.

She still had nightmare from everything. She watched the sun rise. Maybe the rest of her story was for another day.....
