Chapter 24

Athena P.O.V

I woke up in a comfortable bed with my love sleeping beside me.

He might be really tired, you can see it all over his face.

Just staring at his face makes me feel so damn lucky. As much as I would love to stay here and stare at him forever, I wanted to go and take a shower really badly, so I slowly got out of the bed, I searched for my phone, only to remember that he threw it away last night. Dang it, I was so scared and confused I didn't feel anything, including the fact that he threw my phone out of the fucking window.

I sighed before making my way towards the bathroom. After I was done with my mornings routine, I wore one of my sport outfits and I decided it will be good to go for a run around the mansion.

I am allowed to do so anyway, and it is early morning, I bet everyone might be asleep right now.

I walked out of the room quietly closing the door behind me.

After I got out of the mansion I was welcomed by fresh air, it is still dark somehow the sunrise will be in about one hour from now.

I start to run and it took me about 1 hour before I decided it is time to head back. I started to walk back even if it is about one hour from the mansion, I can still see the mansion and this lands are all Leonardo's, so there must be high security.

Suddenly I heard the most unexpected voice

" early bird, I see" why does this ugly man have to be everywhere

" and I see you came alone, don't you think I can handle you pretty well?" I asked before turning around so I can face him. Here he is standing there in front of so many trees. behind him it is like a small forest, there are a lot of trees. That was the main reason I decided it is time to head back. I didn't want to run when there are so many trees surrounding me.

" I know, I know, you are a strong little girl and for answering your question, no,  I am not here alone. so I advise you not to make any stupid movements " he said before his men all in a black suit showed up behind him, all having big guns in their hands

" ok, aren't you stupid coming here while you know damn well, that this is King's place and he might know you are here right now?" I asked

" oh dear, it is your birthday today isn't it?" He asked. I looked at him confused. Oh yeah, today is my birthday, I almost forgot.

" so I can see you even forgot about your own birthday while I didn't, so I decided I will light up the biggest candle in this whole world for you," he said with his ugly smirk on his face, but I am even more confused.

What does he mean? 

" oh, it is almost the time, look at your home that your loved ones are sleeping right now in," he said and I quickly turn around to look at the mansion

" 3...2....1" he counted, just as he finished saying 1, the whole mansion exploded, it was so strong that we felt the energy of it from here.

I-I-it just exploded

I felt my knees weakened like it never did before, making me fall down on them. My heart ached badly, it feels like my heart is bleeding and I might die any minute. I couldn't even breathe.

I tried to stand up slowly, to just run over there and make sure everyone is fine, even though it might be impossible.

I stood up only to fall down again. This time my emotions got twice worse as they were before, there were no tears in my eyes, and I couldn't breathe. I could hear voices yelling around me, but I couldn't make out even a single word of what they are saying.

the pressure was too much on me to a point, I was grateful when the darkness took me and saved me from all the pain I was feeling.

I woke up sitting down quickly on the bed while breathing heavily.

Was that all some kind of nightmare? Please just be a nightmare

I prayed in my heart before paying attention to the unfamiliar room I am in. Looking down at my wrist there is an I.V in it

" I see you are awake" I heard the person who opened the door and came in

It is him

" you-" he cut me off

" don't try to say anything or to do anything, ok? I might let you go if you behave " he said as he stepped closer to my bed

" don't come closer to me!" I shouted at him he smirked but nodded

" I will give you time, you just lost your loved ones anyways, you need time to recover. And since I am such a nice man, I will give you that time"  Is he mad? Giving me time to recover? What is there to recover from? Is losing your loved one is something you will recover from? how can he be so mad... how can he take everything away from me and say he is a nice man?? How??

he backed away before getting out of the room, closing the door softly behind him.

Me, on the other hand, I felt broken and when I am saying broken I feel really broken. I brought my knees to my chest as tears fell down from my eyes.

W-what would I do now? how can this happen? What did they do to deserve to die?
Leonardo, Emy, Thomas, Adam all guards and maids

I cried and cried till my eyes got heavy and darkness welcomed me once more

Williams P.O.V

I am over the moon finally! Finally! the one and the only king is dead

Now there is no more threat for me, I mean there is, but no one was a greater threat than him.

It was all my fault, I was the reason he turned out to be like this if I haven't killed his brother that day, he wouldn't come into a mafia game like this and the only reason was to kill me.

I always managed to get away from him when he tried to kill me, but I knew if I didn't found a way to kill him before he makes his next move I might not be able to escape anymore.

I didn't plan to kill his brother for real, I mean it wasn't a big deal for me, but it just happened, he defended someone that I wanted to kill and he got the bullet, instate of him. for my bad luck his parents were turn out to be powerful and rich, so I had no other option, but to pay everyone that was working on the case and it got closed.

" boss, what are you thinking about so deeply?" Jack asked

" Nothing, I am just happy I finally got ride of King," I told him truthfully

" Yeah, but what about the girl, what will you do to her?" He asked, making me smirk

" well that depends on how she will behave, you know thanks to the card you gave her and she took it, she helped us out few times, so we must be not so harsh on her," i said,

there are so many things you can do to her. being King's women make her extremely popular among mafia world, I know people will pay a fortune to have her. I can just keep her though, she is really pretty.

" I am just saying boss, we took away nearly everything from her, won't it be better just to let her go?" He asked making me rise and eyebrow

" Why do you care about her?" That is interesting

" I am not, I am saying this just Incase " I shook my head

" that is not an option, we warned her enough times, she chose this not we " he nodded in agreement

Wow just thinking about free life from now makes me feel excited
