Chosen One

The Meet

"Yes this is my job information.." I was taking my time getting a job as I am unemployed.
I used to work but then my mom and dad decided to have another baby that they don't give a shit about. I then had to take my mom's place of being the "mother" of the group.

"Okay so your profile looks good so far...oh....but your big brother died a week ago" I stare at her intensely as I slowly nod my head. I don't like talking about my brother because it still triggers me till this day, he got shot by my own dad. I couldn't look at him the same. But he still decided to stay in the fuckin house after he killed him.

"Your hired!" I instantly stop thinking and smile.

"Thank you very much! When will I start?" She looked down into her papers and looked back at me.

"Is there any chance your free tomorrow? We are short on staff" I quickly nodded my head and stood up as she did the same.
We shook hands as I walk out of the room to exit the building. I instantly jump into my car while I sit in there. I took out my phone and looked through my contacts as I find my best friend's contact. I hit the call button and put it next to my ear as I felt the coldness of the phone.

A couple of rings in she picked up. "Hello?"
She answered with her scratchy voice.

"Oh, did I wake you up?" I answered with curiosity as I didn't want to disturb her.

"No, not at all I was just crying my eyes out because I found out that my aunt is pregnant" I was worried at the first half as she said she was crying. I then sigh in relief as I start my car up.

"I'm gonna come visit alright?" I put my phone on speaker and leave it on my lap as I reversed out of my parking space.

"Alright, call me when you get here"

"Okay~"

As she hung up the phone I was already out of the parking lot and in the streets.

"Ya, I'm parking right now, open the door"

"Yes your majesty!!" I scoff at her stupid nickname she had gave me. I turned off my car and got out of it while closing the door behind me. I walk on the stone steps she had laid outside of her front porch. I then spot Lisa at the door and smile brightly.

"Y/nieee!" She had her hands sticking out for a hug as I had mines out too.

"Lisaaaaa!" I said running to hug her. I hugged her and instantly inhaled her scent.

"Come inside!" We walked inside of her house as I greet her parents. We walked inside her room and we sat on her bed talking about random things.

"So, did you get the job?" She ask suddenly.

"Yeah, I don't know who I am assigned with though, I'm gonna have to wait" I let out a deep sigh. Lisa knew I hated waiting.

"When do you start?"

"Tomorrow." Her eyes grew wide

"But you barely signed up, most people have to wait like a week or so for that job." I look at her with the "are you kidding me" look and laugh

"My resume was good so she just gave me it, plus they are low on staff tomorrow anyway"

"Your still lucky! You have your own apartment and everything!" I give her a smile and look off into her window day dreaming about everything that have happened in my life.
      The truth is I never really told Lisa anything about my life. Only my family members and all the fun things I do. I never talk to her about all the bad subjects in my life. It makes me feel guilty as we are best friends and we're supposed to tell each other everything.
