Broken Princess

Mary Grace stared aimlessly at the cinereous chalk board, as her impudent classmates capered about the homework.

"A five page essay on what a dream means to me?" chimed one girl.

"Ms. Lorentz must be dreaming!"

Her patchy freckles seemed to rippled across her face as she vented her anger. Anna Rose had always be a peevish individual. She would normally shirk homework duties to babble with her peers. Like everyone at the academy, she wore an immaculate white sundress. Her long burgundy hair cascaded over the dress like blood over white fabric. It was quite disquieting, yet invoked a sense of curiosity. Very odd! She had a rounded face, which was dotted by her beady eyes, button nose and thin pink lips. Hence, our classmates nicknamed her: "Princess from China." It was a bit like a satire with her; although she was beautiful, she could be a bit cynical at times.
