Izuku's POV:
The prince had leaned back with a foot propped up on his opposite knee. His face wore a grimace and the crowd was whispering worriedly about the prince. "He's cute!" Ash spoke giddily from beside him. He shook his head in disagreement.
"He's less cute than he is simply attractive," She rolled her eyes at the boy and turned her attention back to the front of the room. The king and queen, however, seemed refined and proper. It was a mystery how they could raise a child to come out so arrogant and brash.
The king took a deep breath as his wife held his hand reassuringly. "We are glad to have so many newcomers join our kingdom. Where you find strength you find hard work and most importantly, everyone doing their part," The crowd cheered at his words. The omega couldn't deny the fact that he was slightly moved by them. Slightly. "Now, let the IDK begin!" The room erupted in applause and the servant from before took the spotlight once more.
"The leader of each faction will come up and call your name to announce your position. You will go to their designated area and be seated as you're told," He paused to make sure everyone had the time to understand the directions. "First, the kitchen faction."
That's how the rest of the morning went. Izuku had hoped he would get a job in the kitchen but didn't. The second one he had wished for was the entertainer faction. It seemed joyful and a chance to lead a new life full of dancing and fun. Until his name wasn't called. Instead, his newly made friend Ash was called up.
The pink alpha squealed and shook his hand in excitement. "I'll see you around the castle, okay?! Wish me luck!" With one last reassuring squeeze to his shoulder, she was gone. Trotting down to take her seat with the rest of the entertainers. The smaller was down and a tad envious at first but soon relaxed and tried to calm his nerves.
A lady with a poofy, red dress took the stand and her face was a mix of nice plump and stern commander. She was announced as the leader of the royal servant faction. Her face lit up in a proper smile as she began to call out names in a voice that matched her look. It was obvious she was an alpha, but she acted closer to an omega. The list of names in her hands seemed much shorter than everyone else's. He was praying that she wouldn't call his name. The greenette didn't know if his heart could take working close to the prince.
"Toru Hagakure, and finally, Izuku Midoriya," She beamed at the crowd as his heart sank. No, no this can't be happening! There has to be a mistake! Shakily, he sat up and walked down the aisle with countless pairs of eyes on him. But out of all those looks, he felt one burning into his soul. A certain crimson glare that watched his every move. His face flushed and he felt his heart pound wildly in his chest.
He took a seat where he was told and the announcement continued for a short while. Someone next to the omega tapped his shoulder during the royal field workers calling. He turned his head and there was a bright cherry gaze to meet his. Similarly colored spiky tall hair went straight into the air showing off his happy features. "Hey, Midoriya!" He flashed a smile full of spikey teeth.
His aura was powerful but sweet. Maybe the alphas here were nicer than he thought. "H-hello," His nimble hands fiddled in his lap as he shifted uncomfortably in his chair. The alpha smiled and put a hand on his shoulder trying to give them omega comfort.
"Relax! I promise I don't bite," He chuckled to himself. The smaller tried to laugh along dryly but it came out as more of a whimper. "Hey, hey," The guard stepped closer and put his arm around the greenettes shoulders. "I promise it's all gonna be okay," He was talking about being new to the castle. It warmed Izuku's heart that the alpha cared but his breath only slowed when soft, comforting pheromones filled his nostrils. It smelled like a day at the coastline when he was a young pup. The memory was faint but the scent took him back to the simple days.
Soon enough he calmed down and the guard smiled in approval. "Now, I was sent over here to tell you..." He looked to the ceiling trying to remember what he was sent to say. "You have nice eyes," The greenette was shocked still. No one's ever said that about him before.
"Uh who said that?" His voice went up five octaves and cracked on the end. Mental head slap.
"Bakubro! Though he did tell me to keep quiet about it. 'Just tell him and leave' is what he said," He dropped his voice low and scruffy to imitate 'Bakubro's' voice, whoever that was. The omega laughed at his dramatic imitation. For a second, his worries faded away again. All was good as they laughed together in their own little world.
"Oi, Shitty Hair!" The moment was crashed with the sound of a sharp, deep voice. The voice of a pissed off alpha. Great. The young boy thought. Just what I needed. He gazed up to be met with the prince himself. Red orbs staring intensely as the guard swiftly pulled his hand back. "What did I say?!" The announcements had ended while they were laughing so the room was full of noise again, making the princes outburst slightly less noticeable. Slightly.
"Oh, sorry Bakubro didn't mean to. Just having a nice laugh with this manly man!" Izuku chuckled softly at the guard's choice of words. He'd never seen himself as particularly manly, not that he minded very much. He got up and walked over to the prince, putting an arm around his shoulder with no sign of fear. It was amazing to the young omega as he couldn't control his fearful shivers in the heir's presence.
The prince went to open his mouth but a loud, vicious growl was all he could make. It took all of the greenettes strength to not bow and show his neck in submission. He even felt his knees buckle under his own weight. "Hey, omega," His attention turned to the smaller. Almost immediately his face relaxed and he faintly smiled. The prince realized his mistake and shook his face of the pleasant grin. It's too early.
"Y-y-yes...your highness?" Izuku cringed at the cracks in his voice and his ridicules stuttering. If he was scared and shaking before...call his body Great Galveston. The alpha grumbled at the boy's hesitation but pushed it aside for the current moment.Bakugo's POV:
"Come with me," Katsuki's heart was going a million miles a second, but he would never admit that out loud. "And stop with that 'your highness' bullshit. Just call me..." This was his mate sooooooo, "Katsuki," With that he turned on his heel and walked towards his throne, expecting the omega to follow. When he was frozen still, not moving an inch, his scowl deepened and he cocked an eyebrow. "Ya comin'?"
"Uh, yes!" Izuku ran to his side. "Sorry," He folded his hands in front of him as he bowed his head in shame. Katsuki felt a ping of pain at his mate- *cough cough* I mean...the omega's behavior. This isn't how he wanted to start off with the smaller, but really, what else did he expect? For most of his life, he was sure of himself and his actions, but now he wasn't sure what to do or how it would go. All he knew for sure was this adorable, innocent, gorgeous omega was gonna be his.
