Chapter 7

I woke up to a storm in the middle of the night. It wasnt your average thunder storm. I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks. It was dark and scary. I went into the kitchen and got a drink. I walked into Kyles room quietly trying not to make noise in case he was asleep. 

"Hey" I heard him say.

"hi"

"Come here" He said motioning to the space next to him on the bed. 

"Thanks" I said laying down as he threw the covers over me. 

"The first storm is always a little scary, you can hear everything in this house"

"Yeah"

"You okay?" He looked at me.

"Yeah, are you?"

"Yeah, I just need this"

"What?"

"This place, being able to feel free, and you" 

"Well im glad im here, with you"

"Ive never brought anyone but my sister, brother and mom here"

"Why bring me then?"

"Because you are the one thing in LA that brings me back to my peaceful states and this place is the only place I can feel that way, I wanted to show you that the peace you feel from being here is how I feel when im around you"

"Kyle"

"What?"

"Im glad we met"

"Me too"He smiled as he put his arm over my waist pulling me closer.

"Goodnight" I said breathing in the little air that was left between us.

"Goodnight" He said kissing my forehead. 

"Goodmorning Em" Kyle said bringing in two trays with waffles with strawberries and scrambled eggs.

"Wow, you really are spoiling me"

"Only the best for the best" He said sitting next to me.

"Stop, youre gonna make my heart melt" I said feeling a smile form. 

"Wanna see a trick?"

"Of course"

He grabbed a remote and pressed a button which then brought down a huge tv.

"Kyle this house is officially crazy"

"There is a lot more to where that came from"

"Wow"

"What do you want to watch?"

"On My Block, the new season just came out" 

"I love that show"

"Good me too" I smiled as we both ate our food.

I put on my light blue one piece swimsuit and put my hair into a messy bun. I ran down to the beach and laid out my towel setting my book down and walking to the water. Its so clear, so peaceful. You wouldnt even know it had stormed last night. Then two arms wrapped around my waist holding me tightly. 

"Hey" I turned around and he kissed me.

"Hey"

"How are you?" I asked as we both looked out at the beautiful water. 

"Im good, you?"

"Same" 

"We go snorkeling in an hour"

"Im so excited" I said with the biggest smile. 

"Well we should get ready" He said taking my hand walking back to the house.

Kyles POV

I knew it was the right thing to take her here. But sometimes it makes me fear losing her even more. Knowing that everywhere I go she has been. Dont get me wrong I love having her here and I love her in general. I just fear that I might lose the best thing that happened to me. 

"Im ready!" She said coming into my room in this cute red one piece bathing suit with white polka dots on it, it looked good on her. 

"Lets go" I said getting up and walking with her to the car. 

Seeing her swim freely in the ocean makes me happy.  The vibrant fist, sharks, and other sea animals we saw amazed her. Knowing that something I do often can make someone this happy brings another element to it. We were now laying in beach chairs, she was reading and I was observing the water and of course her. 

"Good book?"

"Yeah, one of my favorites" 

"To Kill A Mockingbird" 

"A classic"

"You really like books huh"

"Yeah, they take you into a whole different world and I love that" She smiled. 

I wish I could just tell her how I feel. I wish I didnt fear what she would say. What coach would say. What the media would say. But I want her. I want her forever.

Emilys POV 

"Kyle that was so fun!" I said as he opened the door to the house. 

"Im glad you had fun" 

"Im gonna go change" I said going to my room and shutting the door. 

I laid down and sighed. 

This is the life.
