The music shatters through my skull and climbs up through the air, spreading over every groove and encasing every atom of mine in a heavenly shroud. The world has decided to tilt its frames and forego the calendar while celestial bodies spin in retrograde. I can feel the Venus heat.
A cheek laid permanently on the bed as eyes watch the beat of the music pound through the air. I see vibrations ripple across the otherwise undisturbed atmosphere. Wisps fly in and out of the slots of sun bouncing joyously along to the rhythm. Each second topped by a soft sigh escaping my lips. Drums fill my head. There's no need to think.
I lay there, stuck in a position reminiscent to that of a child in timeout. Eyelids are half-closed blurring the outer edges of life. Details were a bore to me. They slowed down everything that could be accomplished when life was so big. The universe was too infinite to hold down loose strands that had flown too high. Every idea had its own plan. Only the groundwork would be needed and improvisation was everything that came after.
That was how I went through life, ignoring the fine lines and broadening the horizon. the picture of my life was forever blurry from the paths I rode too fast and the ponds I left for the eons. Slowing down was a phrase I heard remarked by every figure of authority but in this body I felt I was being carried to higher destinations. To backtrack and smoothen my life was a valuable mistake I had no intentions of performing. The stars were glowing and nebulas flaring. They didn't wait for anything.
Yet here I was unable to move from a position I would have spat at not long ago. I was being consumed by melancholic music and nothing thoughts. Something needed to rouse me from this burst of emptiness. I could have sworn there was not a day I felt vacuumed of spirit. Adventure was always at the tip of my tongue and reaching through my fingertips flowed a never-ending tide of fascination. Buckets of metal were turned into castles and dirt would cease to be untraveled.
I dreamed of creating the future. Now I was lost in a desolate past.
