The bus was immensely crowded, and I was a bit uncomfortable seeing as I'd managed to get squashed between a couple of random strangers. And while Ei and Kat weren't exactly far away, it was far enough for me to be that much less okay with the situation. Especially since now that we were separated, I looked like I was alone on the bus.
That fact alone proved to be the worst thing to happen to me today, since I seemed to catch the eye of some guy, college-age or something. He was sitting in front of where I was standing, so once I noticed his attention, it made it that much more difficult to avoid him since he was right there, and I couldn't really move.
He's been staring at me for five minutes! By this point, I was sure of my blush because my face was extremely hot.
"See something you like?" he finally asked me, and I quickly shook my head, trying to look anywhere but at him. My skin was crawling. I had a bad feeling about this. He almost felt like... No, it's not him. You're allowed to stop him. "Aw, don't be shy. I don't mind if you stare a little."
I got the feeling he was definitely under the impression that I was alone here, and helpless. Although, I supposed the latter held true here. My quirk wouldn't be of much use with so many people here. I tried to electrocute this guy, and I'd fry the whole bus. Well, shit.
"I, uh... I have—" I attempted to tell him about Ei and Kat, but I got cut off when the bus came to a screeching halt. A stop! Thank goodness, some people are getting off. Wait, no, why is it only getting fuller? No, no no no, this could be bad.
Of course it turned out to be bad. Out of the 'kindness of his heart,' this bitch got up to 'make room' for the new passengers by standing very, v e r y close to me.
"What am unfortunate predicament," he hummed. "I hope I'm not making you uncomfortable."
"You are, very much so," I replied, although my voice decided to be extra small today. I was sure it was just because he reminded me of... someone else I knew. He laughed.
"You're adorable. You look like you're all by yourself here, so it wouldn't kill you if I kept you company now, would it?" he leered.
"Actually, I—"
"What sort of person would I be, after all, if I let you stay here all alone?"
"A decent one?" I suggested, and although he was still smiling, his mood seemed to shift. He casually rested a hand on my shoulder, fingering my throat. I shuddered as he lowered his face to mine so that he could whisper in my ear.
"How about you keep my company after the ride, too? We could have a ride of our own," he purred, and I shuddered again, my face totally red.
"We could not," I replied quickly, trying to push him away. However, he was adamant, and again, I was w e a k.
He instead wrapped his other arm around my waist, and I couldn't pry it off in the limited space of the bus. I was starting to panic, and I think it showed when I accidentally shocked him, and the other people around us who were seemingly oblivious to the goings-on right next to them. However, it was weak enough for most of them to accept it as a static shock from the friction between bodies.
He didn't take that.
"So that's your quirk, huh? I'm gonna need you to calm down for me, 'kay?" he went on, and I shook my head, now stubbornly refusing to be calm for this dickbag.
The bus stopped again, and I recognized the surroundings through the window. This was my stop. "I need to get off here."
"Hmm, I don't think so," he replied, although I felt myself being pulled away from him by Kat.
So naturally, this fucktard decided to follow us.
Now that we were no longer in the suffocating atmosphere of the bus, and I had my boyfriends with me, I was much less intimidated, though still shaken, and still on edge, because he was still there.
"The fuck is your problem?" Kat growled, and Ei joined in immediately.
"Hands off of what isn't yours, bud. I suggest you back away slowly before he fucks you up," the redhead added, glancing at me. In understood. This was allowed, and I wouldn't hurt anyone else.
"With what, a little static electricity?" he teased, moving to make another grab at me. I sighed, grabbing his wrist before he got anywhere. He paused, confused.
"I tried to tell you earlier, but I have boyfriends," I said, smirking. Then I electrocuted him, only enough for him to pass out.
"You little—" he yelled, then collapsed. I was sure he was fine, but just to be sure because I was a hero, I checked his pulse. Yeah, he was fine.
So the three of us continued, and for the split second that neither of them were yelling at me, it was a little awkward.
"The fuck did he want from you?" (Kat).
"And you didn't tell him to leave you alone?" (Ei).
"Be more careful, idiot!" (Both of them).
I winced at their harsh tones, but I knew they meant well. They finally paused to breathe, which gave me a chance to actually respond, however unwilling my vocal cords decided to be. "I tried telling him to leave me alone but he wouldn't listen, and I couldn't use my quirk because I could've hurt everyone there," I mumbled, staring the the ground in front of us.
"But he knew what it was, to some extent. He mentioned static electricity," Ei pointed out, and I nodded, laughing sheepishly.
"I panicked a little and accidentally shocked a couple people."
"What? That could've backfired so hard—" Kat started again, and I huffed.
"I said I panicked, 'kay? I didn't mean to use it at all, just sorta happened. I mean, it was kinda scary," I admitted, and he softened. He still looked upset though.
"Fine. Just... be more fuckin' careful. Try not to get separated from us next time, alright, Dunce Face?" he poked me in the cheek, and I nodded fervently.
"Yeah! I'm gonna be super careful. I'll be so careful that if there was a meter or somethin' for that sorta thing, I'd be off the charts!" I bounced peppily, and he shook his head.
"Tch, dork."
"Sorry for yelling, we don't blame you," Ei added. "Are you okay?"
"A little rattled, I guess. He was creepy as hell. But I'm fine physically, he didn't do anything."
"He was a bit handsy for my taste," the redhead grumped, taking my hand in his own. Kat followed suit, grabbing my other hand almost aggressively.
We contentedly made our way back to the dorms, and the rest of the day was alright. Nothing much really happened, just a bit of cuddling n' shit. Kat made dinner, too, which was fantastic.
