The rest of the afternoon was slightly better. Michael hung close to Harry throughout the day and followed him around like he had nowhere else to be. But then of course, this was one of the few times Michael obliged happily when sent to bed since he had woken up way too early. After dinner and a bath, it was the little tyke's bedtime. Tommy was set down on a blanket near Michael's bed where Harry could see him and was laying on his tummy trying to reach an empty Doritos bag.

"Why do you have a bunk bed if you're the only one sleeping here?" Harry wondered out loud. Mikey looked up at him with tired eyes and responded in a sleepy voice.

"Zayn sometime sleep wit me" Gushing at how adorable he sounded with faltering vocabulary, Harry nodded to signal he understanded. Michael crawled into bed at laid his head against the many pillows that guaranteed him a great night's rest.

"Goodnight, Michael. I'll be back tomorrow to watch you guys again" Harry whispered tucking the three-year old into bed. He used the Spider-Man blanket to cover Michael up during the cold, winter night. Turning away to pick Tommy up the ground, Harry felt a hand in his own.

"Harry, wait" Mikey muttered with a yawn. He sat up just as Harry turned around and motioned the older lad to come closer. Harry did so and was surprised when Michael planted a wet kiss on his cheek.

The child pulled away and got under the covers before giving a soft smile to the Cheshire native and closing his eyes. Still dazed from the show of affection, Harry picked the toddler from the floor as well as the blanket and walked out the room after turning off the lights.

After the little rant between Harry and Marcel, they both continued talking for some time before Marcel had to go finish up some papers for school. Harry decided then to just some time with Tommy and Michael.

Nina locked herself in her room and refused to come out for anything. Harry tried coaxing her out once of twice just so they could date even the smallest of talks but it failed, as expected. Ashton did come out of his room around two in the afternoon and watched television with Harry before getting a snack and going back into his room. Ashton honestly wanted to spend some time with Harry, but he was afraid the older lad might judge him like his father had. In the end, he decided to play it safe and just go back to his lonely room.

As for Zayn, the child didn't want anything to do with Harry. Nina had filled his head with accusations towards the new babysitter making Harry seem like a bad person. Zayn of course, being only of age five, believed every single one of these lies.

So whenever Harry invited him to play with his little brothers he would refuse the offer and go play in a different room. Occasionally he would hear the giggles escape from the child's mouths and a feeling of loneliness would wash over him.

It was currently 10:51 pm and after setting Tommy down on his crib and making sure he was asleep, Harry was about to leave. He had already been explained about him going him for the first week so he could slowly settle, and was kind of dreading when his boss would tell him to move in so he could work taking care of the kids at night as well.

Speaking of his boss, a loud thump echoed through the mostly quiet house signaling his arrival. The tap-tap-tap of Louis' footsteps was becoming louder by the second and Harry prayed that he wasn't going into the living room, where the Cheshire lad was currently at. Harry wanted to make as less contact as possible with his new boss. There was just something about him that made Harry's heart race from nervousness and gave him an alert-type feeling. To be quite honest, Louis frightened Harry.

Much to Harry's dismay, the entrance to the living room opened, revealing the handsome man he had met earlier in the morning. Vibrant azure met piercing emerald, colors strikingly similar to gems. They held states for a few seconds before Louis broke the silence. "Harvey, right?"

The younger lad looked down at his hands which had suddenly become the most interesting thing in his room as his cheeks picked up a light cerise color.

"Harry, actually"

"Right...Harry"

The awkwardness from before returned as both males just stood there not exactly sure what to do. Harry wasn't sure if he should try making small talk with his boss, or just leave without another word. Even if he chose the first one, nothing was coming out of his mouth.

"So are you just going to stand there and make yourself comfortable or are you going to go back to your own home? As you can see, it's getting pretty late" Louis asked with an arched eyebrow.

Stunned, Harry cleared his throat and nodded, scratching the back of his neck with his left hand.

"Right. Goodnight, Mr. Tomlinson, it was a pleasure working with your kids" Harry stated, only half-lying. (Which technically, is not lying at all)

Just as Harry began walking away a voice called out his name. Harry slowly turned to face Louis but he did not dare meet those electric-colored eyes. The gave Harry a bubbly feeling in the pit of his stomach. Sort of like the feeling of dread people get before something bad happens, but replace the dread with happiness. Harry would be lying if he said he didn't find Louis pleasing to look at.

"Yes, Mr. Tomlinson?" Harry gulped.

Louis smirked and walked closer towards his new employee. He stopped when their chests were three centimeters apart and leaned in to whisper something into Harry's ear.

"You're not lasting a week" The hot puffs of breath that fanned Harry's neck caused a ripple of goosebumps throughout his body. Louis backed away slowly, the smirk still evident on his face, and adjusted the briefcase he had in his hand. "Goodbye, Harry" he mumbled turning around.

And with that, he left.
