THE RISE OF THE HUNTERS

 

Ashley was heading to school but still trapped in her sleeping courters, her alarm rang countless times but Ashley dismissed it every time.

Aah! Stupid clock I am awake! Ashley yelled with the morning tone of voice.

She had been exhausted from her squash practice with her friends. She woke up at 07hundred hours. She gasped when she saw the time displayed on her alarm clock which baffled her.

I am late! Gosh, I am late! Ashley yelled as she got out of bed hastily

She gushed out of bed into the shower, got out. Applied lotion then got dressed up in a hurry then placed a little bite of make up as back in school they had no restrictions on what to wear like a uniform for example.

I am here what is for breakfast today I have a ravenous appetite? Ashley questioned as she sat down placing her adorable magenta back pack on the kitchen counter table next to her mothers bag and her fathers briefcase

It is toast with a side of sausages, two slices of bacon as well as two scrambled eggs. Ashleys mother replied with a smooth silk voice that slide through Ashleys ears like water silk flowing on a persons skin

Morning Honey. Ashleys Father warmly greeted as he gave his wife an embrace including a morning kiss

Grouseeyew! Ashley replied disgusted by the romantic old scene in front of her as she was just about to consume her breakfast

So sorry darling. Ashleys father uttered as he apologised as he also sat town for breakfast

So Father I tried out for the team. Ashley murmured with a pause in her statement as everyone waited for her to proceed with her statement

And? Ashleys father questioned as they all had been consuming their breakfast whilst Ashley drank her juice before replying to her fathers question of her statement

Darling speak we are already too anxious. Ashelys mother instructed as the tension in the room flowed like a waterfall

I made the cut! I joined the team. Ashley informed with a lot of enthusiasm as she finally got rid of the pending anxiousness that filled the atmosphere due to the pause in her statement

Congratulations Ash. Ashelys father stated extremely proud of his daughter that he could not stop hiding it for a large smile appealed on his face and it had not been because of the good food

Yes congratulations darling, we are so proud of you. Ashleys mother stated as she could not help herself by holding in her urge to hug her daughter right there and there

Thank you mother and father, Ashley said as she hugged both of her parents as happy as she had made them feel

But why did you not inform us on Friday? Ashleys father questioned softly

Well father you both had been quite occupied with other work related issues that I saw if not fit to deliver such good news to you as you both would not react the way you have reacted now. Ashley answered as she justified herself thoroughly

Everyone was boisterous as they all enjoyed breakfast then left. Ashelys father went straight to work and her mother would drop Ashely at school in her recently purchased new car but she first picked up Ashelys friends Jack and Jessie before school. It had not been that their families could not send them to school or that their parents did not have cars it had just been that they were too busy and Ashelys parents actually enjoyed to give them a lift. Ashelys mother then dropped the off as she drove off to work.

So I thought Anable and Jack are still an item. Ashely questioned as they started to walk

I am present madam Ashely besides Anable is history to me now and forever if the Heavens agree to it. Jack explained justifying himself from all the accusations place on him
