The longer the day went on, the more I thought about Ryder.
But, why?
I mean, not to be rude or anything, but two people like us shouldn't mix.
I tried to get the thought of boys out of my head as I stumbled to 5th period, Math class with, you guessed it, Mr. Cornell.
I walked in and took a seat in the middle row.
I tugged my Math binder out of my bag and actually listened to the teacher. My pencil rolled off my desk, so I crawled under my desk to grab it.
"E-hem." coughed a familiar voice.
I started to get up, but I hit my head.
"Ow." I said, rubbing the back of my head and pulling myself back up to sit in the chair.
I then turned to see who had rudely coughed in my face.
Of course.
Rachel.
"That's my seat, loser. Get up." she said, chewing her bright pink bubblegum.
"Actually," I said. "It belongs to the school. It's on school property."
"No, its mine. My dad is the principal and he bought this chair for me." Rachel blew a pink bubble and slightly nudged me out of the way. Her perfectly manicured finger landed on a small plaque on the chair's surface.
This Seat Belongs To: Rachel Norberry.
Ah, of course.
I gathered the rest of my stuff, binders and all, to sit in.....
THE BACK ROW.
The class was really very crowded, so even in the back it was hard to find a seat.
I cursed myself in the back of my mind as I travelled to back of the class.
The smell was very distinct, like sweaty boys, pee, Coke™, and rotting meat all mixed into one.
"Ah, so Miss Good Girl decided to join us, eh boys?" a sickingly, oddly, grossly familiar voice said.
"Oh my god, this is not happening." I muttered, silently wishing Kory would go away. "So, Muran, any good selfies lately?" he said, laying a hand on my shoulder.
I took his hand and roughly slapped it off and tried to rack my brain.
What the hell is he talking about?
Oh, now I remember. Our little 'selfie checking' incident this morning.
"No, and shut up. 'Kay? Can you hear me?" I snapped.
Kory smirked and raised his hand.
"What. Are. You. Doing?" I hissed, trying to pull his hand down, but he was way too strong.
"Mr. Cornell?" Kory sang out, smirking at me while still looking at the teacher.
Mr. Cornell stopped talking about the square root of an isosceles triangle and turned slowly towards Kory.
"Yes, Mr. Adams? Is there a problem back there?" Mr. Cornell asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Dr. Norberry asked me to show Lana around the school today." Kory turned to me, smiled, and looked back at Mr. Cornell.
I nudged Kory in the side. "I'm pretty sure Dr. Norberry not say that."
Kory fake coughed. "Lana, I'm pretty sure he did."
"Alright then, Mr. Adams. You'll have to get the work from Ricky or Trevor." Mr. Cornell said, motioning Kory and I to the door.
I picked up my backpack, thanked Mr. Cornell, and waited outside of the room for Kory.
"Ok. What do you want to do?" He said, gently closing the door behind him.
"Ugh, you're so immature! I know why you wanted to get out of Math! You just didn't want to take that Trigonometry quiz." I snapped.
Kory sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Well, I for one have to use the bathroom." I said, walking towards the girls room.
I quietly walked into the bathroom, and it was suprisingly clean. I went into the closest stall to the sinks. I did my business and walked out of the stall.
"Why, hello there."
I turned around. "Oh my god! Kory Adams, what are you doing in the girl's bathroom?"
He rolled his eyes. "I have my ways."
I walked over to the handryer and stuck my hands under the heat for about a minute and a half. I turned to walk pit of the bathroom, but Kory blocked the doorway.
"Not so fast, Muran." Kory whispered.
My cheeks grew red and hot.
"W-what do you w-want from me? I'm just some average n-new g-girl." I stuttered, trying to inch away, but Kory soon cornered me.
"Oh, Muran, you're anything but average." He said, cupping my cheek gently.
And then, he did it.
Kory Adams kissed me.
It was soft, sweet to the touch.
I loved it.
But he could not know that.
I pushed Kory back. "You bastard!"
He looked at me confused. "That's not the response I usually get." He said startled.
"That was my first kiss and you stole it, you idiot, bastard, jerk!" I screamed.
"Geez, calm down."
"You're such a clueless idiot!" I screamed, storming out.
I then leaned against the wall outside of the bathroom.
I picked my head up amd squeezed my eyes shut.
I like Kory.
But what about Ryder?
Oh sh-t, what have I gotten myself into?
