Hey, beautiful.

I walked down a few streets to the actual city part of Denver, Colorado. I walked on and on but I didn’t even know where I was walking to. I couldn’t see anything well so I couldn’t say, “I was there to see the beautiful view.”

I looked down for a second and accidentally bumped into someone, knocking down some of their notebooks.

“Oh, sorry.” We both said as we both reached down to grab the notebooks. We accidentally touched hands and I saw something. And it wasn’t black and white. It was a different color, I think it was tan. Then I looked up at him in awe. I think it’s called green, he as beautiful “green” eyes.

“What’s wrong, hun? You look like you’ve seen col, “he paused and stared at me. “Oh my god, you are beautiful.”

We stood in the middle of the pavement which was white but I looked up to him. “Green” eyes, “brown” hair, “pink” lips, and a beautiful face.

“My name is Charlie, and you are?”

“Gabriel, but you can call me Gabe.” We walked by each other admiring each other’s faces. We got close to a “tan” park bench and sat upon it.

“So if this means we see color, we are obviously soul mates.” Gabe started.

“It’s so weird that it chose us though, I mean, two strangers over a notebook.”

“Well, I guess it’s a good thing I can see now. I thought I was going to see black and white forever but I don’t have to worry about it anymore.” He smirked. I looked at him in the eyes.

“You have really beautiful green eyes, with your bright red hair and cute freckles.” He said and I smiled. He got really close to me and kissed my cheek.

“You are gorgeous.” I kissed him on the lips. I felt spark and when I opened my eyes; everything was a little bit brighter.

I looked down at my tan trench coat and black pants with a black top.

                “You alright?”

                “Yeah, I’m great actually!”

“Alright, do you want to go and do something?”

                “Like what?”
“I was thinking on meeting your family.”

“All I have is my mother and my big brother, Dean. He lives in Kansas though.”

“You’re lucky. I only have my brother, Clarence. He lives in Kansas too.”

                “You live on your own?”

                “Yeah, sadly.”

“I’m sorry. We should probably head over to my place so you can meet my mother.”

“That’s good with me.” He got up and grabbed my hand. We walked all the way back to my house and talked about random things about each other. For example: he likes cats, classic rock, playing guitar, and food.

We walked into the house and saw my mother standing by the fridge.

“Hey, mom. Are you alright?” she turned around to see me and Gabriel.

                “I’m okay, darling. Who’s this?”

“Mom, I want you to meet Gabriel.” She shook his hand and took a sip of the water that was on the counter.

“I want you to know that he is the one I saw color with.” I looked at her as she spat her drink, drenching the floor underneath her.

“You saw color with him?! How?!” she yelled.

                “Fate, I guess.” He replied

“Well, all I have to say is, don’t get killed and be careful what you do. I don’t want her to end up like me, a colorless widow.”

                “I’m sorry.” He replied.

“It’s fine. Welcome to the family Gabriel.”

After that, he came to my house a lot, to the point he actually started to live here.
