                -4 years later-

                “You were right.”

“What are you talking about, Gabe?”

“We did have a big future ahead of us. Cas and Clarity are walking and talking and it’s so much to live for.” I laughed.

“Well of course, it’s a lot to live for!”

“Yeah, I have to get to work. I will see you later tonight.” He kissed me and got in his truck and left to work.

“Where is he going, mommy?” Cas asked.

“To work.” I looked at them play with trucks and dolls.

“Why don’t you work, mommy?” Clarity asked.

“Because, I have to take care of you,” I paused and touched her nose lightly as she laughed. “And you,” I paused again to touch Cas’s nose lightly. “And myself and your father.”

“I love you, mommy.” Clarity said.

“Yeah, me too.” Cas said smiling.

                “I love you guys too.”

They cuddled up against me as I closed my eyes and opened them back up to realize I can’t see.

                “What’s wrong, mommy?”

“I can’t see, baby.” I closed my eyes back up and it was black and white again.

“No, this can’t be true.” I left the kids in the room real quick.

                “Where are you going, mommy?”

“I’ll be right back; I just need to call your uncle Dean.” I dialed his number as fast I could. I started to cry. He picked up the phone.

                “Hey, Charlie. What’s up?”

“H-he’s dead-d. All I s-see is black and wh-white again.” He ended the phone call. I sobbed for about a few minutes when I heard a door bell ring.

I wiped myself up and opened the door. It was Dean. I hugged him so hard that he probably didn’t feel a thing afterwards. I let him inside and sat him where I was sitting before. I stood up for a little bit, explaining to the children that their father is dead. I felt dizzy and then I fell to the ground. I passed out.

I woke up in the hospital. I opened my eyes and I didn’t see anything but whiteness. I could hear and feel everything but it was just whiteness, I know I wasn’t dead because I felt myself so alive.

“Mrs. Bay, I hate to break it to you, but you are blind and on the verge of dying.”

                “Where is my brother?”

“Out in the hallway, with your kids.”

“Please let them in.” I heard the door open.

“Oh, Charlie.” I heard Dean say that.

“I’m blind.” I said aloud to him. “I’m also dying.”

“Please, no, Charlie.” I heard Dean’s voice crack and hear him shed a single man tear.

“Come closer though.” I felt Dean’s shaky breathe on my ear and I turned towards him and whispered into his ear.

“Please take care of them. And don’t miss me too much when I’m gone. Make sure they live up to be the best people in the world. I love them both so much, I love you so much. I lived a pretty good life and I’m glad with, what,” I paused; I felt my heart beat getting slower and slower. “What… I… did.” I smiled and felt my life slip away from under my breath.
