The raid's over.

The villager in front of us doesn't look too happy, but he does have those green floating particles coming off of him, so I assume he is. We left the house and joined the villagers as they started to run over to the same direction. I'm not too sure where they're going, but it looks like we're supposed to follow them.

I followed closely behind them, observing the wreckage along the way. Most of the houses are destroyed, most of the surface blocks are gone so we constantly have to climb up and down a few steps just to continue going forward. There's still some emeralds on the ground, too, but the villagers aren't picking them up like I expect them to. I mean, emeralds are the villagers' thing, right? But I guess they just want to thank us for saving their village.

I mean. . . I'm not complaining.

Apparently the place they wanted to go to was our base. They gathered in a semi-circle in front of the mini-waterfall we had coming out of it. They moved aside as we took our place in front of them.

I think Steve was going to say something to them, but he didn't get the chance to. A voice came from the crowd, louder than the villager's hums. "Wait!" Somewhere in the distance and the sea of villagers (more are still coming!), there's an arm waving frantically in the air. The voice was awfully familiar. I haven't heard her voice in a while. "I saved you guys, too! Move aside!" She continued.

When she finally got out and stumbled in front of us, I didn't hesitate to pull Alex in for a bond-crashing hug. She groaned but returned the hug back nevertheless. "Oh, how I've missed you," she whispered, hugging me even tighter.

"I'm here too, you know." Steve butted in.

She ignored Steve and let go of me, facing our audience. "We know why you're all here, and we just want one thing." She stated sternly, addressing all of them like a leader. I'm getting the early-Alex vibes from her, like when I first met her. "We want the way out, please."

The villagers didn't waste any time and turned around, heading east. The three of us exchanged glances and immediately rushed up the base. All the stuff up here are ours, all the emeralds, the potions, everything— and if the villagers are going to lead us to the exit, we need to bring all of it since the villagers aren't stopping for us. But then again it's a huge crowd of them so I think we won't lose them that easily.

Immediately when we got to the top, we raced towards our chests and started ramming things inside our inventories. "I don't have enough space!" Alex exclaimed, pulling me towards her and the chest she's kneeling in front of. "Quickly, what items can you stack?"

"I've got iron." I said, taking the leftover iron from the chest I was in front of earlier. Alex gave me the iron she had and Steve threw me some from behind. Once my inventory was full, I checked again. "Does anyone have torches? I only have three!"

"I'll take it." Steve said, still busy with grabbing stuff from the chests. I threw my torches at him and took up more things from the chests.

My head is racing. There's so many things happening.

One thing is that our way out is open. Not sure if it really is, but I really hope that the villagers are leading us to the way out, otherwise Steve might just lose his cool and do something unnecessary.

Two, we're all together again. I already gave Alex her greeting, but I haven't given Steve a hug yet. His expression whenever I touch him is always cute and satisfying (he doesn't seem to like it but I'm sure he does), specially when he doesn't see it coming.

Three, the fact that the raid is over, after so, so long, is still a big shock for me. I'm having mixed feelings with leaving this place. It was exhausting but fun.
