Jisung looks at himself in the mirror with his new purple hair while I spit in the sink. He sighs, pouting.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, I just feel like something is gonna happen soon." He mumbles.
"Like what?" I ask, holding his hand.
"I don't know. Can you stay home from work until it's better?"
"Until what's better? You're worrying me." I hug him.
"Something just isn't right."
"It's probably just your schooling." I suggest.
He nods. "Yeah, probably." He mumbles.
"You wanna take it easy today? Come with me to work, maybe?"
"No, I think it's best I stay home." He mutters.
He plays with my hand while I kiss him gently on his jaw. "Alright. But call me if you wanna talk to me, okay?"
"I will." He starts getting up, holding his breath.
I wrap my arms around his thin waist and bring him to the living room. He hugs a throw pillow to his stomach, wincing.
"Let me get you some medicine, okay?" I kiss his forehead.
He nods. I go to the kitchen and grab a Tylenol and water bottle for him. He takes them gratefully.
"Thank you." He mumbles.
"I'm sorry if I went too rough on you." I kiss his temple.
He shakes his head. "Oh, no, it felt great in the moment." He takes the medicine.
"Good. Anyways, I'm gonna go get Blue up and ready." I ruffle his pretty purple hair.
He nods. I go to Ansaek's room, opening the door.
"Hey, bud?" I ask quietly.
He was fast asleep. I go sit on the edge of his bed and shake his shoulder. He looks at me with sleepy eyes.
"Hmm?" He asks.
"Wake up. We have work." I mumble.
He huffs. "Is there still ice cream?"
"There's always ice cream there." I smile.
He springs awake and smiles. I kiss his forehead, watching as he gets his clothes on.
"Go brush your teeth and go potty, okay?" I say while heading for the living room.
He nods. "Yes, Daddy." He slips towards the hall bathroom.
"Jisung, are you feeling okay?"
"I'm fine. Like you said, it's probably just stress."
I nod. "Yeah.."
"I'll be fine." He nods. "Could you get me a blanket?"
I nod. I go to the linen closet and grab a fluffy blanket he'll be nice and warm in. He smiles, seeing the blanket. I wrap him in it, being careful with his sensitive areas.
He pouts at me, wanting kisses. I give him what he wants and shower him in kisses. I caress his cheek with my hand, playing with his soft hair.
"You're so beautiful." I mumble, giving him another kiss.
He blushes. "No, I'm not wearing makeup." He covers his face.
"That doesn't matter." I kiss his hands.
"Daddy, I'm ready."
"Blue, isn't Baba so pretty?" I ask.
"No!" Jisung squeals.
"Ooh, your hair is so nice!" He comes over to see.
"No is he pretty?" I ask.
"Yeah, Baba's very pretty." He nods.
"I told you." I stick my tongue out at Jisung.
He blushes even harder. "Y-Yah, go to work."
I kiss his lips and get up. "Fine. See you later, Honey." I ruffle his hair.
"Bye, Baba!" Ansaek smiles.
I take him and my bag to the car, getting in the driver's seat after putting him in his car seat. I turn on some music for the ride.
"Daddy, what's that?" Ansaek asks.
"What's what, bud?" I ask, looking at the rearview mirror to see him.
"That over there." He points out his window.
I squint out the window, quickly looking back at the road. I drive across the busy intersection, hearing a truck horn.
-
Glass was everywhere. I could barely see anything and my hearing fades in and out. I see I'm on the ground surrounded by doctors."Blue..." I mumble.
"What was that, sir?" A man asks.
"Blue. Where's Blue?" I ask.
"What's Blue?"
"Blue?!" I sit up.
I try looking around, but they hold me down. I feel myself put on a bed and wheeled into an ambulance, no time to look for him.
"No, I need Blue!!" I scream.
"Sir, please cooperate. Lay down." A woman says.
"Blue is out there! I need Blue!" I cry.
