Call Back to Terra

Y/n's P.O.V:

It was a normal weekend on the ship for Mum the Skrulls and myself. I had spent the day playing pinball with Maria, Talos's second child. I was told that Maria was actually given her name to remember a Terra lady both Mum and Talos knew who had helped the Skrulls against the old Kree empire back in the mid 90's. As we were playing Maria was called off by her Dad to go look after the young ones so I went back to my room which actually happened to be quite spacious considering our ship is technically a warship even if the Skrulls are peaceful beings. I sat on my window sill looking out into the abyss and put my Airpods in and pressed play on my wrist communicator making it play my sweet music from Terra. I still don't understand why these little earbuds are called "Airpods" when they clearly are not made of air but I'm very grateful that Mum got me them for my last birthday and that Talos and the Skrulls upgraded the whole system of the ship and the receiver so that I could have all the latest music unlike that "Star Lord criminal from Xandar who only can play music from the 80's and let's be honest that was the worst decade for Terra music. 

"Hey Kid, I got news for you." Mum said walking over to me engulfing me in a loving embrace slightly catching me off guard as I was humming along to my music and couldn't hear her approach.

"Wassup Mum, we got a new mission or something?" I asked eagerly hoping the answer was yes which meant we would be going to go help the universe again.  

"Actually we're going to Terra to help out an old friend of mine. However, knowing his line of work it's still gonna be a rough one but hey you're finally coming to Terra to see our homeworld and my friend is a very important person so if you wanna do something or meet someone like one of those artists you listen to then he could probably arrange that for you." Mum answered taking out one of my Airpods and putting it in her ear "Oo I like this one, what's it called?" she added.

"Aight so the song is called "I Got Bitches" by some A2M guy, it's not really my taste but it's funny. Before that song, I had this slower song called "Stone Cold" by this lady called Demi Lovato and it's meant to be a meaningful song but it just reminds me of whenever we fly past a Ravager that's been kicked out of their ship and are now frozen stone cold in space." I answer laughing at the little pun I made earning a smirk and a hand ruffle messing my blonde permed hair up.

"Anyways us two leave in ten minutes so get suited up, say your goodbyes and bring your Airpods, they came from Terra and I wanna get you something for them and y'know what, if you can make my friend laugh at some point during our time on Terra then I won't make you do any ship duties for a whole year." Mum said throwing my Airpod she had to me and walking out the room.

Y/n's P.O.V:      

After a day's travel and a quick stop off on Titan, we finally arrived outside of Earth's atmosphere. I look down toward my homeworld and then to my Mum.

"So this is it I guess?" I half state.

"Sure thing Kiddo and I'm guessing you're wanting to be extra and make some grand entrance?" Mum quips back making a silly face and jazz hands.

"You know me too well!" I laugh knowing that she knows the usual drill. 

"Ok, so I'll go down and meet our guy and you follow down afterwards." Mum confirms flying down to find her contact. Whilst she flies off I decide on what entrance I'm going to make. After five minutes of internally debating which entrance number I decide on doing the new postman entrance I recently made and fly down towards the building I was told is called Triskelion. 

As I get closer to the ground I see my Mum stood next to a man in front of the Triskelion building. 

"HEY WAIT A MINUTE MISTER POSTMAN!" I shout as fly over the pair, throwing a hologram disk into the air activating the device to play a compilation of videos I found logged in Mum's old suit mission log and from what I had "vlogged" during missions of us fighting along with this video I found of this guy singing the Mr Postman song. I land in front of the two adults and instantly recognise the man from the video I just played.

"Oh shit! You're that guy, just older and with one less eye." I say trying to not laugh at how I probably just embarrassed the older one-eyed man.

"Yes, I motherfucking am that guy and let me tell you now flerkens are no joke!" The older man retorts giving me a death stare.

"Sorry, Nick this is my son Y/n. Y/n this is Nick Fury, he's my contact and the director of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement Logistics Division. From what Nick has told me Earth's defenders are having their own civil war and we've been sent to end the problem, preferably without anyone getting hurt but if we have to engage then we have the order to fight with as much force as we see fit." Mum explains.

"So what I'm hearing is that the Terrans can't get along once again and we've been sent to get them to sort their shit out? Just perfect, a civil war not even an alien invasion lead by Loki again, actually I need to speak to you about our last encounter with that greasy haired attention whore and it's a pleasure to meet you Nick, just a shame that it's to go put your lackies back in order." I state slightly wound up that the dumb Terran's never learn even after two world wars. 

"Also Goose wouldn't hurt a fly so I have no clue what you're on about when you say flerkens are dangerous." I add unaware of his past making the older man groan and earning a chuckle from Mum.

"Actually Goose is the reason why Fury wears an eyepatch." She comments.

"Oh well shit. I mean at least he didn't get both eyes." I say trying to see the bright side of the injury the man had acquired.

"Anyways, have you got the things I asked for you to get for me and also where are we being sent to intercept the targets?" Mum asks the director.

"Yes, I have the items. I assume you'll collect them after the mission and you're being sent to Berlin Airport. You need to also get them to come here after you succeed in calming them down too. They'll know why." The bald man states.

"Copy that also please refer to us as Captain Marvel and Supernova around anyone else especially the targets when we bring them in thanks." Mum confirms. Nick just nods at us and walks back into the building to probably his office.

"So what was it you wanted to say to me?" She questions me.

"So remember about fives years back at the battle of Vormir against Loki and the Chitauri..." I start off.

"As much as I love you son we don't have time for the long story so you need to shorten it a bit for me please." Mum interrupts me knowing that I'll end up telling a massive hour-long story. 

"Ok, ok. Well either way Loki's sceptre is meant to shoot blue energy out of it, but when I got hit by a shot of his the blast was yellow and was absorbed into my body and it feels very similar to the energy we have from the space stone in the tesseract. Long story short I can sense the same energy signature from multiple sources that both happen to be converging on the target coordinates." I explain.

"Are you saying that we may be dealing with an Infinity stone?" Mum questions seriously.

"I'm almost certain so we should head off to the coordinates now and get ready." I state looking Mum dead in the eyes with a concerned face about what we're about to face. In sync, we both enter our Binary forms and take to the sky headed toward Berlin airport.

(A/N: well that's chapter one and tbh I thought it wouldn't be as long as it ended up being and I'm actually happy for once with this first chapter but yeah any feedback is appreciated :)
