Cassy was not an average 11 year old. With the immense age gap between her and her brother, she had learned to mature quickly. Another factor that contributed; Cassy hadn't made a single friend around her age until last year, until a girl named Anna introduced herself. Luckily, Anna was just as mature as her, being surrounded by adults as she was a single child.

Cassy had her mothers eyes and shoulder long, light brown hair. She was average in height and looked exactly like the photos of her grandmother at age 11. she loved books and movies, she saw them as almost the same thing. She loved the idea of it being up to the author or writers whether people would laugh, cry or scream out in frustration for the characters.

She woke once again to the familiar blasting of 'right here, right now' by Fatboy slim. It was the first song on her brother's morning playlist and he liked it loud. She walked into his room and yet again turned down the volume down to allow the thumping headache she had to go away. "How are you not used the volume? It's literally been on every morning since you were 7!" He yelled at her. Not an actual yell but it was a yell compared to the way he normally spoke. She flinched and said a simple "sorry", which she knew got him around her little finger. He then turned down the music lower "I'm sorry for yelling Cass. Do you need help with something?" He asked. She smirked internally and then felt the contents of her stomach almost breach the surface. That headache was part of a bigger scheme, she felt awful. Cassy quickly ran to the bathroom which was right beside her bedroom door, and then proceeded to be sick in the toilet.
Once she finished Cole got a pair of comfortable clothes for her and made her take a shower and brush her teeth. While Cassy was in the shower she could just manage to hear her older brother on the phone, talking to her school. She smiled at the chance of missing school. She didn't have to spend the day with those Neanderthals known as her classmates.

she came out, feeling better but still nauseous. "You're staying home today Cass, I'm late for school but I'll see you later!" Cole yelled down the hall, Cassy then heard the front door slam shut, then Cole's car crush the gravel in the driveway as he drove away.
Cassy immediately walked into the living room, put on one of her favourite movies, then made herself a bowl of cereal, sat and watched the movie in peace.
The clock hit midday and piles of dishes and wrappers had amounted on the coffee table in between the couch and TV. As Cassy cleaned up the mess, the phone rang. remembering her mothers previous precautions, she saw how she didn't recognise the caller ID and left it for the voice mail. she was putting her dishes in the dishwasher as the phone blurted out who was on the other end of the line and what they wanted.
"Hi Tash, its Bill. I just wanted to thank you so much for that piece of Lulu, she loves it. It's actually hanging up in her room. If there's anything I can help you with, hey if your planning to go up into the mountains to lake Diego anytime and need a place to stay, let me know. Alright thanks again bye." The phone cut off and Cassy decided to shake off the fact that some of her mum's/mom's clients were rich enough (or perhaps funny enough) to have an entire bedroom, for a dog.
Cassy then went into her room and read one of her favourite books while listening to some music Cole had made into a playlist for her.

Cole came home with a blank expression on his face. He rushed over to Cassy's bedroom and made sure she was okay, then retired to his room for a study session. Natasha got home and cuddled Cassy for minutes on end which miraculously helped her a great deal. They did the same routine, it was Cole's night to cook however. They ate with chatterings about the morning that had unfurled. When Cassy was sound asleep, Natasha crept past her bedroom and opened Cole's door. "hey Cole I just wanted to tha-" "God mum/mom! I'm changing. Want to knock anytime!?" Cole fully yelled as his mother closed the door once again. she cringed at the awkwardness and said through the door. "Um, sorry. I just wanted to say thanks, sorry again" her mind went blank, this was a weird situation if anything. Cole opened the door and gave his mother a hug, fully clothed. the hug was one that felt good to receive or even to be part of, even if it was a little stiff from the lingering awkwardness.

"it's seriously fine, you say thanks to much." He said softy. "I'm just so glad you're my son" Natasha said muffled by his arm around her comfortably due to the overwhelming height difference between them. "It's okay, go on, go to bed" Cole chuckled at the sight of Natasha walking like a zombie to the door at the end of the hallway. "Than- night Cole" Natasha held her tongue as she closed her bedroom door on him.
