Chapter 9: What to do now?

3rd Person POV

"I personally vouch, on behalf of these supernaturals, to allow them to live peacefully in this area without our interference." Erica's mom said.

"Are you sure?" a mysterious voice replied. "Where there's one, there's bound to be more."

"I trust them." Erica's mom replied firmly.

"If Aimi trusts them, then so do I." another mysterious voice said.

More mysterious voices rang out in agreement. 

"Well, Ms. Aimi. It appears that we support your decision. We promise not to eliminate these supernaturals. This council is adjourned." a mysterious voice said.

The hologams disappeared and Aimi sighed in relief.

My debt is paid now. My daughter also seems to trust those supernaturals. She thought. I guess I'll attempt to do the same.

Sora walked up and hugged her.

"You did the right thing." He said.

"Thank you, husband." She said. "How is Erica and Yuri?"

"They should be fully recovered soon." He replied. "And Yuri's parents are coming over tommorow."

"I'm glad they're going to be okay." She said smiling.

Erica POV

Why does my body hurt so  much?! Is it because I got stabbed? Actually, that is probably the reason. I thought while groaning in pain as I woke up.

I looked around and saw I was in the infirmary room with robots walking around performing tasks.

"I see you are awake, Erica." Treya said.

"Oh Treya. What happened?" I asked.

"Well, after you two were losing the fight with that wendigo, your parents came and rescued you two. They found you and Yuri unconscious and so they brought both of you here after they took care of that wendigo. You should be all healed up soon." Treya said.

"Thanks Treya. Where's Yuri?" I asked.

"In the bed to your left." Treya answered.

I glanced over and saw her sleeping peacefully with her arm outstretched towards me.

"Her injuries are more severe than yours, so she will need to stay here longer." Treya said.

I sat up and when I tried to move my left arm I discovered that Yuri was holding my left hand.

What? I thought. She's fast.

Suddenly, the door to the infirmary opened and my parents came in.

"Mom! Dad!" I exclaimed looking at them. "You rescued me?"

They looked at me in surprise and ran over to me and hugged me.

My dad said, "You're finally awake. We were so worried about you."

"Never try to take on a supernatural as powerful as that wendigo by yourselves again." My mom said with tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't just let my friends die." I said hugging them back with my free arm.

"We know. But you should have at least contacted us first." My mom said.

"At least you're better now." My dad said. "And Yuri will be soon."

I smiled and looked over at Yuri who was somehow still asleep.
