IN DIFFERENT TIMES and from different people in her childhood, Tomoko Ishikawa had always heard that no matter how hard she tried, she could never be the hero that she dreamed of. Her mother had given her a dream, told her anything was possible, and Tomoko would never let that dream go.

Even when times would grow dark and dim for the poor girl, Tomoko would never lose her dream. She knew she had to become a hero, she had to refuse to stand to the side and watch from the background, she had to help the world.

Through her struggles, she finds that she has someone cheering her on. A boy named Izuku Midoriya, who she had grown up alongside of, has dreams of his own. Even when he dreams of becoming a hero, he spares his precious moments to make sure that Tomoko knows there is one more person cheering her on, one more person beside her to make sure that she can always stand.

It makes all of the difference for the young girl. But little do the two know what all lies before them. There will be more than meets the eye for the story of the heroes Deku and Northstar...

a note to remember:

one — I do not own the My Hero Academia manga or anime. This fanfiction is simply an idea that sprouted in my brain and refused to be smothered. The only things I own are the designs for the superhero Northstar, the character and backstory of Tomoko Ishikawa, her mother and father Umi Ishikawa and Nakasone Ishikawa, and a few ideas for pro heroes that may or may not be used as this book progresses.

two — This book deals with topics of domestic abuse, depression, and mental illness. Warnings will be placed at the head of the chapters that deal with the subject of domestic abuse to act as disclaimers.

three — This book is a slowburn romance, meaning that I will write Tomoko and Izuku as an eventual adorable couple, but it will happen gradually. Adorableness must be built up to make this relationship super cute.
