I down another shot of whiskey as Jess brags about Sam's LSAT scores and that I passed my medical boards. Legally I shouldn't be drinking but when you're in college you know people who can bend the rules for you. My name is Jenna, I graduated high school when I was 10, did online college till medical school, and then passed those classes so fast they just threw me into a surgical fellowship at the age of sixteen. And now, that I'm seventeen I have passed my boards, which means I'm now a full-on surgeon. Which sounds crazy and believe me it is, being seventeen and having the genius compacity to be able to open people up and not kill them is absolutely insane. But I wouldn't change that part of my life for the world."Another round?" one of our friends Ned asks after Jess continues to brag on Sam and his great brain, when an actual surgeon is sitting right beside them.
"No- "Sam starts but I cut him off.
"For the love of god just get me the entire bottle of whiskey." I say making Sam laugh a little bit.
"Where is Jason?" Sam asks, leaning over so I can hear him in the crowded bar.
"He's going to meet us at home, he has a test tomorrow." I say back, Sam nodding as another round is laid out in front of us.

I lay down next to my boyfriend, Jason, who's already asleep. Jess and Sam are still at the bar, but I decided to come home early and spend some time with him before I start working at the hospital more. I'm going to be a traveling surgeon, so wherever my works need me, I go. Which is convenient so I can see places I haven't seen in a long time and still make more money than I would staying in one place.
"My brain hurts." Jason says waking up and rolling over to me. I laugh a little as I wrap my arms around his neck, his head snuggling into the crock of my neck as he starts to doze back off. "I was going to do this another time but seemingly, were both busy as shit." He starts as he sits up and reaches over to his nightstand. I sit up and look at him with confused eyes as he holds out a small ring to me. "I know this is crazy, I'm still in college but I'm hoping to one day make you my wife- "
"Oh my god." I say cutting him off, knowing this is insanity at its finest, but I just smile. We've been together for a while, and I know Sam has talked to me about asking Jess to marry him, but me? the girl who sleeps with a pistol attached to her nightstand? The one who drinks away her problems and doesn't face them? How does someone wanna be married to that? "Yes." I say in a whisper, sliding the ring on my finger and pulling him into a kiss.
"Thank god, I was worried you were just going to dump my ass here and now." He says, his blue eyes lighting up as I laugh at his stupid comments.
"Come on, let's go to sleep, you have a big test tomorrow." I say as I lay down, Jason wrapping his arms around me, and we both dozing off.

I hear a loud thud come from the living room. My eyes snap open as I hold my breathe before slowly grabbing the gun from my nightstand and getting out of bed. I walk into the hallway and see Sam, both of us having confused and scared looks on our faces. Sam goes out first, wrestling whoever it is to the ground, me pointing the gun right at the persons head.
"Woah, easy tiger." The man says in a voice I immediately recognize. I sigh in relief, laying the gun down on the table beside me.
"Dean?" Sam says breathless, looking at me just as confused as I am. Dean laughs a little, making me even more confused on what the hell is happening.
"You scared the crap out of us!" I yell in a hushed whisper. I run my fingers through my hair and take another deep breath, my heartbeat racing.
