The story revolves around Harold Smith, who graduated as a law student, but ended up working in a low paying job. He is believed to be a successful lawyer but reality says otherwise, so he is forced to lie about his entire career to hide his shame from his family. Harold's daughter, Mikayla Smith, is enrolled to a well-known school, but as the family's financial needs continue to grow, Harold had to transfer her to a cheaper school which made her wonder what the reason might be since her father is known to be successful. Secrets of the father continue to unveil as the daughter discovers the family crisis. Harold, turns out to have mountainous debts, and is struggling to pay for it all. Mikayla figures everything out and confronts her father about the problem. One thing led to another, Harold is ironically recognized as an inspiring liar.
