The Sapphire Wolf Pack

Two weeks ago

I wake up with the sun shining in on my face it's early in the morning and I am going on a run with my mom. Mom and I have always had a close relationship and loved doing things together. Mom is the one who taught me how not to be selfish and abuse my money or power. She didn't want me to be spoiled and I am glad she taught me these lessons. I get up and get dressed for the day and go to the kitchen to get breakfast ready for the family and pack it was my turn to do breakfast this week and it was fun.

"Good morning sweets, how did you sleep?," mom had asked me. "Morning mom I slept good, how about you?"
"Good, are you ready for our run this morning?"
"Yep just finished making breakfast for everyone."

Just then my dad came down to get his coffee and breakfast. My dad and I never really got along much but for mom I make sure to be civil.
"Morning dad how was your sleep?"
"That's ALPHA to you, and it was fine where is my coffee you stupid mutt?"
"Here it is, do you need anything before I go on a run with mom?"
"What you are not going on a run with my mate you ungrateful child go to your room"
"But......"
"NOOOOWWWW" he said in his alpha voice

"Dear that was uncalled for she is you daughter and you treat her like this you should be ashamed of yourself, now I am going to take my daughter on a run and you think about what you did until then don't speak to me."

Mom would always be the voice of reason and she would always help when she could.

"What are you even doing up here you filthy mutt go do your chores and get away from me," Said Amelia. Yep that's my older sister spoiled rotten by my dad doesn't have to do a thing and gets what she wants. Then there is my older brother Jason he is cool most of the time but he is the oldest and next in Line to be alpha. So he isn't allowed to talk to me like we use to when growing up he looks at me and I see the pain in his eyes but he doesn't know what to do because of my dad so it's hard on him we were so close but dad pushed us away from each other.

"Sweetly let's go for our run," said mom
"Hey mom can we invite Jason please I miss him so much."
"Sure hunny we can ask him."
"Jason...."
"Hum...."
"Do you want to come on a run with mom and me?"
"Ummm.... sure why not I miss you too you know."
"I know I miss you a lot too."
"Let's go little wolf"
He has always called me that and it will always stick.

Three hours later we get back from our run and it looks like a bomb went off here. My mom and brother have the same look as if they know who is going to get blamed for this. Before we go back in my brother talks to me.

"Hey so when we go in here I have to do what dad says even though I don't like it just understand that I am doing this to protect you from getting beaten ok."
"I understand but what does dad have against me always," I said with tears in my eyes

My brother pulls me into a hug and says "I will do the best I can to protect you little wolf and just remember I love you no matter what, let's go."

As soon as we walk in there is my dad and he is livid the next thing I remember is my dad rejecting my mom and shooting her in the head. My eyes went wide and I cried and screamed. Why? Why did he do this to her. What has he done this for, the next thing I remember is my brother carrying me to my room.
