Chapter 1-Welcome To The Fairy Tail

Somewhere in the Caribbean, a flash of blue speeds by a coral reef, a green tail flipping and splashing through the water.

  As it goes, it enters a large structure built on the sandy bottom of the sea.  The building is shaped like a castle the abovelanders made.

 This structure belongs to the Merpeople, guardians of the sea, protectors of the ocean.  But the Merpeople are not what you may think.  They all control a power, some meant to stay above land, some below.

  They stay secluded from abovelanders and make it a point to never go to the surface, unless they are a surface guard.  The surface guards have powers like fire, or kitty (A/N my sister said that because Milliana has kitty magic and cats hate water) and stay mainly aboveland, for if a mermaid or merman's tail is completely dry, they will turn human.

  That flash of blue mentioned prior to this paragraph is a mermaid named Juvia, who's water powers are very well known in the mermaid kingdom.

  She is a messenger for the king of the land of mermaids, King Makarov, who rules with his grandson, Prince Laxus.  Makarov's son, Ivan, went to the human world shortly after Laxus was born, shortly before his wife died, but had his memories taken from him, so he had amnesia until he died, three years after arriving on shore.

  "You're majesty, your highness, there has been a breach!  Juvia came as soon as she could.  The humans have found Magnolia, though Fairy Tail is defending.  The humans have managed to obtain powers too, what shall you do?". Juvia elaborates.

  Makarov looks at the small mermaid with shock before thinking about the problem.  "Send Sabertooth to help, Rufus will probably be able to erase their memories of invasion, and of us.  Until then, we need to send some surface guards aboveland. After you send out Saber, come back to me and I will have a list."

Juvia nods and turns into water before leaving.  Makarov has a scribe, Levy, write down his list.

Levy stops writing and asks, "Your Highness, I am being sent aboveland?". Makarov nods and takes the note from her and waits for the messenger to return.  When she does, she looks at the note and, confused, asks the same question as the scribe.  Makarov sends her off to the different voyagers' stations to tell them what to do.  When Juvia arrives at the dragon barracks where the dragon merpeople live and asks for Marvell, she learns that Wendy has been kidnapped by humans.  Her older stepbrother, Natsu Dragneel, volunteers to go and swims to the palace, getting permission from the king.
