SCHOOL DAYS AND ALL

CHAPTER 6

Iris was sitting in her room . It was a medium sized room with a partition in the middle . On each side was a bed,chest of drawers basin, cupboard ,table and some chairs. She had not unpacked yet,and was feeling a bit lonely . Carrie was in her tower and Micky was in her room along the corridor. Then the door opened and a girl came in. She was of medium height . She stopped inside the room with her suitcase. She had not seen Iris yet, and that gave Iris the moment to look at her closely. The girl had long hair golden blonde in color. Her were of a deep shade of amber. She had well defined features and a thin shapely nose . She wore glasses .

Iris sat up with a start "Ivy , Ivy Baker ,Is that,you???"she exclaimed."Iris , how did you happen to come here?" Ivy asked
"Someone suggested the school to my parents ,so I came here. " replied Iris sheepishly . " How long have you been here?"she asked. "I came here last term after I left Grace High. "Answered Ivy. " We never found out why you left so suddenly . " " Just because Mother and Father were to go to Spain so they wanted to leave me in a good boarding school " Then someone knocked on the door and another girl came in . She was a long girl of about 16 with copper red hair and dark brown eyes.

"Hello, I 'm Opal Carter , I'm a monitress and I'm here to take the newcomers on a round of the school . She looked down to the list in her hand . " Room no. 3 , third floor , Poppy Tower , here is Iris Redwor . Iris come on outside please , Ivy , if you want to come you van tag along . They picked up all the newcomers of third floor on their way including Micky . Iris and Micky fell in conversation. " Can't we change rooms then ? You shall come in my room and Eliana can,go to yours . Eliana was a short girl with dark brown hair and a brown eyes . She was Micky's roommate. "Here let me ask Ivy " said Iris.

"Iris fell in behind Ivy , isn't there someone in Poppy tower who's your special friend ?"asked Iris. "There was Party but she isn't coming back this year. " said Ivy "Why this worry?" She asked. "I've met a new friend and I want to,room,with her " " Who's her roommate then" "It's some girl named Eliana " .Ivy's face brightened " I like her " she said .

By then they had collected all newcomers of juniors and inters . First they went inside the school building, it had all the classrooms, gym, sanatorium , and other halls. It also had the head's room and extra guest rooms. From there they went into their own tower again . They visited each floor . There were 8 floors in each tower . On the ground floor there were only guest rooms , movie room , and a large laboratory. On the first floor was a dormitory for 1st formers and the first form supervisor Miss Russell's room , a large balcony ,a writing studio, three small group meeting rooms and a large sorority room. On the second floor was a dormitory of second formers , and the second form supervisor Miss Sullivan's room , another large balcony , 3 feast rooms ,another writing studio, 2 guest rooms a large common room and a sorority room . On the third floor were three medium sized rooms , (in two rooms are only 3rd formers while the third room is shared by a third and a fourth former) ,a balcony, indoor sports complex, common room , library, study room , the 3rd form supervisor Miss Perry's room, and a sorority room . On the 4th floor were two medium sized rooms, a balcony, a larger writing studio, matron's room, mini sanatorium, writing studio, art studio , the 4th form supervisor Miss Fisher 's room , a common room and sorority room . On the fifth floor were 5 medium sized rooms , 3 music rooms , a kitchen , pantry, writing
studio, common room, sorority room and the fifth form supervisor Miss Ross's room. On the 6th,floor were 5 medium,sized rooms, a parlor, adequate room, sorority room, auditorium, writing studio , balcony, common room and the 6th,form supervisor Miss Hughes's room .On the seventh floor were 5 large rooms with adjoining studies, dress styling room, a balcony, auditorium, debate room, feast room , sorority room and the seventh form supervisor Miss Gray's room. On the eighth and last floor there were 5 large rooms with adjoining studies, a balcony,writing studio, head girl,JPM and Sport's captain's rooms , a kitchen, auditorium, music room, art studio , sorority room and the 8th form supervisor Miss James's room . Every tower had the same rooms but instead of writing studio's win each,floor there were writing studio only on 1 or 2 floors and on every floor there were that house's specialty.
