By dawns early light
I watch as birds take flight
From trees, roofs to the sky above
All they do is eat, play, love
As they enjoy springs warm air
I feel overwhelmed with despair
I yearn for that to be me
To be able to wander far and free
Although they know not of our plight
I still watch them fly with delight
And as my soul begins to soar
I feel despair and sorrow no more
