Chapter 27

Matt took some weeks off shift to help Gabby in every possible way. And today he starts working again. Both, Gabby and Matt get dressed to head to firehouse. They immediately go to Boden's office. After Boden calls them in Dawson and Casey went in. Boden's proud to have them back but was confused as Gabby said she won't be working for the next couple of months. As she explains she's pregnant Boden gives his Congratulations with a big smile on his face. After telling Boden they needed to tell the rest of firehouse too. They couldn't hide it anyway cause there was already a small bump. In common room Gabby starts talking: "Guys, I won't be working for the next couple of months." Gabby still wears her jacket that means none can see her bump. Herrmann asks if she'll leave again. Gabby said she can't leave anymore since she's 22 weeks pregnant with Matt's baby. Everyone gasps. Sylvie starts talking: "That's a joke isn't it?" Gabby shakes her head confused asking: "Why?" Sylvie looks around and notices that everyone was looking at her. She sighs deeply and says: "I'm pregnant too.. with Antonio's kid.. well I'm not as far as Gabby is but I'm in proudly 12th week." From this point on none knows what to say anymore. That was more then just a surprise, they just found out two of their family are pregnant. Gabby has to leave since she isn't allowed to work anymore. She goes home and does some house work while Casey and Brett need to answer questions.
