"Ally?!" She moved away from her, and try to rack her brain.
Did I really drink that much, that I'm back home.
"Uh yeah... girl what is wrong with you?" Ally said staring at her Bestfriend.
Normani just sighed and moved her hair out of her face.
"Never mind, where's Dinah Jane?"
Ally once again looked at her Bestfriend, with a weird look.
"Mani, are you on that stuff? I told Lauren not to let you-"
"Uh Ally, no. My girlfriend Dinah Jane."
"You like girls!"
Normani sighed and put her head in her hands.
Suddenly a lightbulb went off in her head.
She looked down at her clothes and noticed she had on an all black dress and so did Ally.
"No, no, no." Normani got up and looked around her room for something specific. Once she found it, she gasped.
"What Mani?" Ally asked seriously concerned.
Normani let a tear slip.
"Today was the day of my mother's funeral wasn't it."

"Uh yes, Normani what is wrong with you?" Ally asked as she looked at her friend confused.
Normani sits on the bed and sighs. One of the worst days and she's reliving it.
"Today's the day of my mother's funeral right?" Normani said sadly, it's like she lost all her energy that she recently possessed.
Once Ally registered what was said, her mind realized the day and she cursed herself that she even forgot.
"Mani sweetie," Ally said and sat next to her best friend.
"I'm so sorry. I know this is a very hard time for you and no words I say will really help."
Normani agreed but didn't say anything at first. She's also hurt that she doesn't really know a Dinah and that's somebody she made up.
"Yeah it was... she were just here and now she's now. I loved her so much." Normani said.
Ally who often feel her friend's emotions and take them on as her own, wiped her eyes and patted her friends back.
"I know, it just doesn't feel like it's been a year." Ally said softly.
Normani once again agreed with her friend. Ally stood up and walked around her friend room.
"I mean it's crazy you're about to graduate in a few months and I'm away at college. It all just seems quick, ya know?"
Normani eyes popped open and she finally registered what Ally said. She quickly hopped off her bed and made as much distance between her and Ally.
"Um....what?!" Ally who was slightly day dreaming, jumped at the sound her friend's voice.
"What?" Ally said as looked at Mani.
"You said, you're at college and I'm about to graduate?" Normani said as if repeating it will make her mind act differently.
"Uhh yeah, you know you're about to graduate in California." Ally said nonchalantly.
Normani blinked her eyes to see if she was completely drunk or if she was just sleeping. Either way, she was tripping bad.
"Wait, wait, just wait." Normani rubbed her temple as she to rack her brain.
"Okay, Ally what's the date? Is it the day of my mother's funeral?"
"Yes- well no, not exactly its the one year anniversary of her funeral." Normani sighed slightly relieved but also hurt.
"Ok if it's not then, why am I in black, kinda like the one I had at my mom's funeral? Hm?" Normani said as if she had an "ah ha" moment.
Ally didn't know wether to let out a very slight laugh or check Normani into a psych ward.
"Um because you said you don't really have any black dresses and this was what you came up with on a short notice. Normani did you have a little "something" something?" Ally whispered the last part in case an adult was listening.
Normani sighed and closed her eyes. "No Ally Brooke I am not."
Normani tacked her brain to try to figure out what's going on, but she was slowing coming to terms with it.
"Okay, um do you know my girlfriend?" Normani was thinking this was the last resort and the answer to what the fuck is going on.
"Girlfriend? Okay now I'm confused." Ally said and then snapped her finger.
"When did you start liking girls? I mean I'm not gonna judge but this would be nice to know about my friend and to be honest, you kinda gave off a vibe more than Lauren. This would explain back in fifth grade-
"ALLY!" Ally stopped her rambling with a small apology and Normani gave her a small smile.
"Ally I told you about this, when we we're on the phone, I was like DJ this and DJ that. I remember because you cut me off like I just did you." Ally thought for a second and then gasped.
"Ohhhh DJaaaaayyyyyyy." Ally said and Normani sighed.
"This girl is gonna give me a heart attack." Normani whispered to herself.
"Wait you said DJ, so I automatically assumed that was a dude." Ally said and lightly chuckled.
"I hope that's not sexist, because Mani you know I'm not like that." Ally said with a worried look.
Normani sat down on the bed and sighed. This has been a long five minutes.
"So why am I back in Houston?" Normani asked.
Ally shrugged her shoulders. "Something to do with your old school and what you did before you left, I think they're just giving you an award."
After Normani registered what was going and realizing that she was not dreaming, she has got to stop smoking weed.
She decided to take a nap and maybe she be okay when she wake up.
