Long ago in feudal Japan. Ayakashi was prevalent in the local towns and villages of the country. There Ruled the Emeporor Juoro who received two children from his beloved wife. Unfortunately out of the twins, the boy was born extremely sickly and blind while the daughter was healthy.
The Emperor didn't like this after many years of trying to receive a son. So the emperor decided he would make a deal with one of the ayakashi. And in doing so, he traveled long and far and he sacrificed the health of his daughter in trade for the health of his son.
So instead his son grew healthy and would inherit the throne while his daughter was ill most of her days and couldn't see. But not being able to see did not stop y/n from upright and kind.
So now. An ayakashi follows y/n around in hidden sight. And whenever she tries to understand where her sickness came from a bell rings in her head.
y/n set off to her adventure looking to see where she could receive her memories and sight back.
