"Jack. I can't go on pretending anymore," said Alex, on the verge of tears, placing his face into his hands, and faling to his knees. "I just c-can't."

Jack raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Lex, what are you--?"

Alex sighed, "I love you Jack - head over heels in fucking love with you, and I probably just ruined our friendship by confessing that but it's something I've held in for too long, and I needed to get it out in the open. I'm sorry." he said. Jack frowned, and knelt to the ground in front of his best friend.

Jack bit his lip, unsure of what to do or say, so he thought.

He thought about Alex.

He thought about his face, and took in his features; his cute, giant forehead and how he hides it with his fringe, his infectious smile, those goddamn dimples when he smiles, and his eyes. Alex's almond-shaped, caramel brown irises were absolutely gorgeous.

When Jack took everything he thought of Alex's appearance in, and every reason why he was friends with the elder in the first place, he realized that Alex's feelings for him were definitely mutual.

He took ahold of Alex's chin gently with his index finger and thumb, and tipped the brunette's head up, revealing the aforementioned boy's red and teary-eyed face.

Jack leant forward. "Jack, what are you --"

Before Alex could even finish his question, Jack interrupted, "Shh. Just let it happen," he said, finally closing the gap between them, very gently catching his best friend's lips with his own.

Sparks flew, as cliché as it sounds, their lips moved together, and while Alex never wanted this to end, he wanted answers more. So, hesitantly, he pulled away. "What was that?"

"A kiss, you dope." Jack replied.

Alex rolled his eyes. "I know that, but what for?"

"I love you too. Just took me a while to figure it out." he said. Alex looked deep into his eyes to see if the younger was lying and/or joking.

Apparently Alex was taking too much time to reply, so he cupped Alex's cheeks, on both sides, into his hands, and kissed him once more. No tongue, no teeth.

It was perfect. Genuine. He wasn't lying or joking. And Alex'll be damned if he let's Jack go.
