Chapter 25 • A Favor

"SO NOW I ANNOUNCE THE START OF THE STARICE FESTIVAL!"

The crowd immediately cheered, banners and streamers immediately fell from the sky. The band's music can be heard after the announcement, dancers and students immediately crowded the front of the school. All our hard work has finally paid off, now all we would have to do is enjoy the festival. I then took a picture of the dancer and a student, dancing together with big smiles on their faces. 

"I can't believe Sonic is missing out on all of these!" Tails utter in amazement, as he took more pictures with my camera. "Yeah.. can't believe it," I mumbled, as I looked at the band giving all their best in the performance. "Come on Amy, remember what your Club president told all of you? That's right, to have fun during the festival! Now stop making that frowny face and try to live in the moment!" Cream scolded as she pulled me to a food stall that's selling candy. "Two Dragon beard candy please!" Cream said to the person, who's in charge of the stand. 

The man handed her the candy and paid for it before she turned around to face me and give me the other candy, "And I know Sonic wants you to stay happy too."

I sighed and nodded, "You're right."

Although it was hard to stop thinking about what Sonic told me yesterday, Cream and Tails we're here to cheer me up for a bit and help me enjoy the festival. Shortly after, we tried out almost all of the available food stands here in the school. Yóutiáo, Churros dipped in chocolate, Banana Cue, Taho, Ube Ice Cream, Mochi, Loukuomades, you name it. We also rode some rides, and me being the photographer of the group, I was also busy taking photos while having fun. After we spent the entire morning having fun and eating foods we have never tried before, we have decided to just rest for a while and go back to having fun later. 

And here we are, sitting under a tree while I also check out the photos I took earlier. Cream and Tails on the other hand are busy talking and laughing about a book they read online together, sheesh, even though it's a festival... I'm still here being the Third wheel. I smiled at the photos, but I didn't realize that was the last photo I took when it returned to the first photo I took in this camera. It was a photo of me and Sonic, having fun while being blasted by cold water from water guns the other children in the waterpark has. "I guess having fun is not the same without him." I thought before I put my camera away. I leaned back against the tree's trunk and looked up at the leaves shading us from the sun's harsh light, suddenly feeling a sense of deja vu. 

Yeah, I always hung out with Sonic back then at their yard before we'll rest under the tree and enjoy some cold juice. 

I sighed in frustration and quickly stood up from the ground, "You know what, I'll be back. I'm just gonna take more pictures..." Even though they knew something was up, they just both nodded and watched me rush back to the festival. At the last festival, I and Sonic would leave Tails and Cream for a bit and ride that one rollercoaster that we couldn't ride because of Tails' fear. I giggled slightly and watched other people enjoying the festival, some were busy trying to find celebrities while some were busy trying out every game with their friends to try to win a prize. 

Just what is he hiding from me really? And what is the planning for me today? I have so many questions to ask him but he's not even here so that I can ask! Ugh, this is frustrating. Once he reveals what that secret is, I'm really not gonna hesitate to try to punish him for making me worry and cry yesterday just because of a misunderstanding! Well... it's my fault too for assuming so much but that's not the point! Just what secret of his is it really? And whatever it is, it must be hard for him to keep it to himself since he couldn't even tell me what it is. 

"You know... that frown of yours doesn't suit you well." A familiar voice chuckled.

"Levi? What are you doing here?" I asked him with a frown. He seems surprised by my reaction for a moment before he smiled, "Oh come on now, what did I do wrong?" I sighed, "Because of that kiss on the cheek you gave me the other day, suddenly, a lot has happened between me and Sonic." He then chuckled, "Oh, Sonic? That star player from the soccer team?" I slowly nodded, "Yeah." Levi then leaned back on the railings of the ride behind us and adjusted his shirt's collar as he grinned, "Why would he be angry in the first place? It's just a small token of appreciation, nothing more nothing less." He laughed, to which I responded as I rolled my eyes. "Whatever your intention was that time, I can understand a bit as to why he was not happy from that time."

I sighed, "I just don't know what's going on his mind these days... it feels like I don't know him anymore." I glanced at Levi as he smiled, "You really don't know?" I furrowed my brows as I shook my head, "Stop asking that, as I've said, I really have no idea." He laughed loudly, some of the people who were near us and walking by looked at him weirdly. And I can't blame them, he does sound like a psycho. "What's so funny?" I glared. He continued laughing more before he cleared his throat and said, "My, how naive of you." 

"If you can't help me, I'm going back--"

"Not so fast!" Levi said as he blocked my way. "What? Do you have the conscience to tell me now?" I grinned as I crossed my arms. To my disappointment, he shook his head and I immediately sighed in frustration. "I never did say that I won't tell you, but I can tell you in exchange for one favor." He smirked. I raised a brow, "What kind of favor?"

"Oh, it's nothing special. You just have to accompany me for some rides and to eat some food for a bit, then I would tell you what he is exactly hiding from you and why he got angry that day." Levi grinned. My eyes widened and I thought of it for a moment, making a thinking pose while I'm at it. "So? What's your answer?" Levi smirked. 

"Fine." I sighed, looking at him in the eyes.
