Your hair is soaking wet from the rain that has been continuously pouring down. You take one final look at your house and watch the final light go off, every light in the house is off now. You look at the time on your phone: 11:00 pm. You look at the night sky and head to your car with the very few belongings you own now.
You begin to remember the night's events: you and your parents got into a huge fight and it ended with your current situation. As you get into your car, you recall the very last moments of the fight.
You furiously pack your stuff into one suitcase and grab everything you need. "You want to be independent? You want to do your own thing? Fine. Then get out of my house." Your mom yells at the top of her lungs. You give her a look as you drag the one suitcase you could find and head to the front door of your house. You grab the doorknob and think for one moment if this is what you really want to do. You open the front door and take a step outside without a word to your mom. "You walk out, you stay out." She says. You keep walking without looking behind you.
You drive around the neighborhood you live in for a few minutes trying to figure out what you are going to do now. You have no place to go and no one knows about your current situation. You think about going back home with your parents. Your relationship with them has never been perfect, but maybe you could talk this out with them. You decide it isn't worth going back. Your parents give you no room to follow your dreams or be independent, they already have planned everything out for you. But their ideal life for you isn't the life you want to live.
You drive by your house one last time. You secretly hope your parents are standing outside crying and begging for you to come home. But as you drive by you don't see anyone outside, just a dark house. So, you start to drive not even knowing your destination.
You eventually park into a random parking lot and just sit there. You've been driving aimlessly for about thirty minutes. You think about your friends and what they're doing right now. You love your friends and you know they love you, but it's hard sometimes because you're younger than most of them. You don't want them to feel like they have to babysit you or baby you, which is why you hesitate to ask if you can stay with them. You think about how embarrassing it will be to call them and beg for help. But right now; you're tired, hungry, and just want some place to go. You pull out your phone and pick the person you think is most likely to answer: Sam.
You text Sam by starting with a simple "Hey" and he replies with a basic "Hi". You hesitate for a minute; you don't want to bother them but this might be your only option as they are basically the only people you are close with in LA. You tell him you're in a bit of a sticky situation and you don't give too many details. Sam tells you to come over to their place.
Eventually you get to the Traphouse. You sit in your car for a second, breathe, and then walk to the door. You decide it's best not to bring all your belongings with you right away in case they reject you. Before you can even knock on the door it swings open and Sam is there on the other side.
"What's going on?" He says. You notice the other boys in the back staring towards you and Sam's conversation.
You take a big breath in, trying to contain your emotions. You tell yourself not to cry, that's embarrassing. You aren't a baby. "Can I just...come in?" You ask, you don't want to intrude (although it seems like they aren't doing much of anything).
"Yeah of course, it's raining anyways and you're soaking wet." He smiles and lets you in. You walk towards the other boys, still trying to contain yourself.
"Hi Y/N." Jake says as he smiles at you. For some reason, those two words are what make you break down. You begin to sob uncontrollably.
"Woah, woah, woah, woah" Sam says not understanding what's going on.
"I...walked...out ..." You say with big breaths in between each word. You breathe for a second and finish your thought, "I have no place to go and I didn't know what to do so I called Sam and I bet I just ruined your night because now a teenage girl is standing in the middle of your house crying." You say quickly and in all one breath.
"Y/N," Corey says with a sympathetic look; "You didn't ruin our night."
Colby began walking closer to you as Corey finished his thought. "Yeah, if you need a place to stay you can stay here...we don't mind." He says as he guides you to sit down.
"Do you have anything with you?" Jake questions.
"I have a small suit case in my car" You say and Jake nods empathetically.
"How about you go out to your car, get your things, then you can come back in and we'll talk." Sam says as the others nod in agreement. You show a slight smile and head to your car.
As you open the trunk to your car, you start feeling better about your situation. At least you have a place to stay now. But as you start walking away from your car, you feel what you had been feeling before-Guilt.
You enter the Traphouse again and look at your four friends who are sitting on the couch. "You know what...I shouldn't have come here. I should get a hotel or something...I'm sorry, guys." You say and head for the door. You are such a child. You think to yourself.
"Y/n, stop saying stuff like that...you can stay here. You aren't a bother and you never will be a bother. You're our friend and we'd do anything for you! So; come here, sit your butt on the couch, and let's have some fun to get your mind off of everything." Sam says a bit aggressive.
"I just don't want you guys to feel like you have to babysit me or something." You say.
"Okay well that's not how we feel at all, if anything you take care of us." Jake says and Colby laughs in agreement.
"Now come over here because this is your house too now" Corey says as Jake pats the spot on the couch next to him and you walk over. You begin telling your friends the events of the night and after that you all watch a movie while laughing and making jokes. Eventually, 2 am rolls around and you begin to fall asleep on the couch of your new home.
