Barriers - Taehyung || Complete

Ch. 16

After lunch the members headed back to the company to start rehearsal. Taehyung insisted on waiting with me while I wait for Jongin to pick me up but it took a lot of convincing to finally make him go back with the members. I knew Jongin was going to pick me up after his errand..but I didn't think it would take this long. 

I waited outside of the restaurant for a good twenty minutes until Jongin finally showed up. He rushed out of his side and hurriedly opened the door for me. "I'm so sorry, y/n! I'm so late!" The wind was blowing and it happened to blow his shirt collar revealing a dark spot on his neck which I am pretty sure is a hickey.

I smiled in amusement. "Oh, no worries," I stepped inside of the car and he ran back to his car seat and started driving. "Did you get your 'errands' done?" I air quoted to myself. I couldn't help but laugh a little. Jongin looked at the mirror and realized that his hickey was showing. He fixed his collar covering it again.

"Please don't say anything. I don't want to get in trouble that I was late picking you up because I was doing something...personal."

"Jongin." I stared at him seriously through the mirror. "I won't tell anyone. If I were working all day and I found a small opportunity to get it on, I would too."

He sighed in relief and smiled. "Would you like to know about her?"

"Oh? You want to talk about her?"

"We have become close over this past month and you have a short time left. If we are to have a close friendship I want to be open with you about it."

Why did that make me feel sick to my stomach? Oh, because I'm keeping a secret from one of my closest friends that I am sleeping with Taehyung. If I tell him, I'm breaking my contract and I might lose everyone sooner than I want. I smiled at Jongin. "How about you tell me that another time? Like when we actually get to hang out outside of work." He smiled wider and nodded. 

He dropped me off at the company and I greeted him goodbye telling him I will be at the studio until 10PM. It gave him another five hours to do whatever he wanted with this mystery girl. I winked at him and he groaned that I was making fun of him. I laughed and I happily waved at him walking into the building. 

There were no meetings for today, just rehearsal. I sat on the couch preparing my day for tomorrow while the guys practiced their choreography. To be honest, I was getting really bored. Just sitting and watching them rehearse over and over again. Don't get me wrong, I love having them around. But I wish there was more for me to do while they rehearse. When they finally got a break I handed them all a towel to dry their sweat and I sat back down on the couch and kicked my feet up to relax. No one else was in the room so I made myself comfortable. I felt my phone vibrate and picked it up to see who messaged me. I looked across the room and saw Taehyung wink at me giving me a slight smile. Boy, he knows how to make my heart beat fast.

Tae: Are you that bored noona?

Me: A little lol. You know it's just me, right? Why don't you just come over here and talk?

Tae: I didn't want anyone to hear what I want to say to you

Me: Oh? And..what did you want to say to me?

Tae: ...

Tae: ...

Me: ?

Tae: You look very beautiful. So beautiful that if I saw you smile while I am dancing, it will make me want to dance better

I looked at Taehyung again and he shot me with his adorable boxy smile. I sat upright on the couch to fix myself and I smiled back at him. I also showed a little heart sign with my fingers. He made the fingers back to me and kissed it.
