Todoroki
Fierce, angry, unpredictable.
If you didn't know any better you'd think I was talking about my classmate Katsuki Bakugou.
However, this time.. I'm talking about myself.
In all honesty I'm just better at hiding my emotions.
-
I stare blankly out the classroom window, my mind oddly empty for once. That was until my brain picked up on a cheery red head's voice.
Kirishima.
The boy that is best friend's with 'Lord Explosion Murder' himself. He seems so overly positive all the time. I'm not sure how he does it.
More importantly, I don't know why Bakugou chose him to be his best buddy.
It's not that I particularly mind, or that I'm jealous. I just wouldn't mind having a one on one conversation with the blond.
Maybe try to figure out why he doesn't give any effort to hide his hurt or anger, unlike me. If I could just understand, I just want to understand.
Aizawa walks in moments after the rest of the class enters. "Students, for the remainder of this week, starting tomorrow, we will be doing partner projects," he huffs in irritation, "your partners are assigned, and will be changing everyday."
I let out an aggressive exhale. It wasn't super noticeable, but Yaoyorozu heard apparently.
"What's up?" she motions an elbow toward me with a subtle glance."Assigned partners," my voice is low and quiet, almost a whisper.
"Who are you so worried about getting paired up with, except Mineta of course?"
"Doesn't matter."
"Is it-," she starts but a deep voice cuts her off.
We'd talked before about how sometimes my mind would make me want to distance myself from people, so I assume that's what she's thinking. But that's not the case.. at least not exactly.
"Yaoyorozu, Todoroki," Aizawa sighs, "have something you'd like to share with the class."
"No Sir," we assure him in unison.
Im so agitated I barely notice a certain blond boy snicker at us.
"Only fools fall for him," I breathily sigh and turn away from Yaomomo, my attention now focused on the papers in front me.
The rest of class goes pretty smoothly, my eyes lifting only when necessary.
"These will be your partners for tomorrow's project," Aizawa announces.
I look to the board and my heart sinks.
Bakugou / Kirishima
Kaminari / Sero
Yaoyorozu / Jirou
Todoroki / Midoriya
Asui / Uraraka
Mina / Hagakure
(...)The first thing that catches my eye is the usual Bakugou and Kirishima combo. I grit my teeth and my lips form into a tight line. My fingers quickly find their way to my temples, and I continue to look down the list.
That's when it registers, my partner for tomorrow is Midoriya. I sigh. That's not frustrating at least.
After the bell rings I quickly make my way out into the hallway. Although I don't push past anyone because that would bring even more unwanted attention to me.
From the corner of my eye I see Bakugou leaning over somebody. My curiosity gets the best of me, so I turn my head to see clearly.
Uraraka?!
I watch the blond ramble off some sort of sentence with his arm placed against the wall. An infuriated expression is resting on his face. He has trapped the brunette in front of him, she looks as if she's about to cry.
I shouldn't be worried about it. I huff and make my way towards the building's main exit.
My backpack seems to weigh heavier on my shoulders than usual. The blood inside my veins boils as I walk silently to the dorms.
Even though the girl was getting fussed at, the fact that even she was getting more attention from him then I ever have is quite irritating.
After opening my door and throwing down my backpack, I hear a light knock on my door.
"Hello?" I question quietly as I go to answer.
To my surprise, Yaoyorozu stands on the other side. Her hair's down, but she's still in her uniform. "Hey, do you have a sec?" the raven haired girl asks.
"Uh, yeah," my interest piques and I move out of the doorway.
Momo struts in with her usual confidence, not leaving a second for question. She head's over to my empty desk chair and takes a seat.
"I know there's probably something you want to-," I start, but as previously mentioned, there's no room for question.
"Can we continue our conversation from earlier, I have a feeling there's something you're not telling me."
