Painted Truth

I hide my face
behind milk-white paint
covering the taint
ot tear-stained
landscapes
behind
steel blue eyes
behind a mask
of lipstick-red lies
and illusions
while the Truth of me
wisely
stays silent

Survival is a dance
the clever flick
of a fan
it’s the hidden blade
behind a glance
you learn
eventually
to flow with the current
like swirling robes
of silk
flowing in
hypnotic arcs
making even
the pain of it
a thing of Art
