Error gasped in a breath of air, the cold yet blistering hot air of the anti-void burned his throat and turned his cheek bones dark blue within seconds. He quickly closed the portal draining water into the anti-void that had the intensity of a waterfall, and slumped over with exhaustion. Another simple job gone wrong thanks to Ink. Even now he was supposed to be destroying a new batch of Oceantale's, all more distorted and scarier than the last. It was obvious to the breathless destroyer that Ink was running out of ideas. It seemed impossible, but it gave Error a new sense of hope. That hope was quickly burned and shot down by the multiple voices of Fate appearing in his head, getting louder and louder, yet not to the point where it was easily noticed. Like Error was being slowly burned in a pot, the voices were the water, and Fate was the hand cranking the heat up.
"You fucking dumbass!!"
"Get back out there and destroy more Au's!!"
"You could have hurt him!!"
"Burn in Hell. Burn in Hell. Burn in Hell! Burn in Hell!! BURN IN HELL!"
"Why are you so useless!? God you're just a fucking mistake. "
"BURNINHELLBURNINHELLBURNINHELLBURNINHELLBURNINHELL!!!!"
Error never noticed his hands raising to his ears, trying desperately to block out the voices as they grew ever louder to the point when a single sound was made it would make Error's head pound. Once, a long time ago, he would have gotten up and listened, or have made an effort at all. But he was tired. Tired, alone, and trying so desperately to deal with a debilitating job and just as debilitating thoughts. So here he was. Lying in a puddle of his glowing blue tears, hands clutching his ears, and silently begging someone to show up and help him.
But you want to know the thing he's learned?
"NO ONE WILL EVER COME."
