The beginning of the End

It was cold Day.
Dark.
Sun was shinning weakly, that you could feel the effort of it, trying just warm up the world. But with no fruits of it's hard work.
Many people were coming back from work, keeping their heads busy in phones, trying not to look at sad look of the world. And to think that this was middle of summer, yet no kids or teens were outside, no one was meeting up with their friends, except for one.
Standing between towers, where Batman gets anxiety.
She was wearing mostly black and grey, with bandage on her arm in colors of white, blue and pink in pastel colors. Nothing much unordinary except one tiny thing. Her hair in color of dark pink with purple endings. It was not long, rather short, but enough to sometimes bring looks of people around.
Slowly but steady another teen approached.
Green hoodie with black pants visible from far away, nicely contrasted with white hair and nearly red eyes.
-Hey sweetie
-Hey Max. You got what I asked for? Responded back girl.
-Yep. He reached into his pocket and slowly took out sacket.
-But it wasn't easy to get. This days it is harder and harder to get them the old ways.
He opened sack reaveling some colorful rings.
-But I asked only for two... Max there are four here...
-Two for you, one for me, and one is a gift for you Cherry. He said with a bit flirty voice.
A blush could be seen on Cherries face until she realized what was happening.
-You are trying flirt with me! No! You know how I hate it when you do it!
-What meee? How could you think of such a thing?! I would never ever try to...
-Max...
-... Okay okay... Just wanted to be nice...
-Then nicely you made me hate ya even more.
-Oh come on! Max grumbled.
-We can hang out, but never ask me for a date. Come on now, we got places to go.

Even with dark sky over their heads, Friends still had a lot of fun. They visited first skatepark where Cherry watched Max get new bruises on arms and legs, until coming back to their shared house.

-Home, sweeeet Home! Max sighed with big relief laying down on sofa.
Remember that this is not fully your house. Half of it is mine. Cherry snapped back sitting down on his legs.
-Ouch! Okay okay!
He quickly took his legs back to let Cherrie sit down too.
-My queeeeen~ you should be more merciful for person like meee~
Max playfully said, to which Cherrie just said:
-There is no mercy for Scum like you!

They both started laughing until,throwing insults at each other keeping the pace of majesty. The fun didn't last long because of a crack of lightning Bolt.

-What was that...?
-Scared of storm? Ca-caw! Scared chicken!
Max started to imitate a chicken, but Cherrie was unamused.
-It's not the storm... The lightning bolt... Was red...
