The bullying is to the max. I think I would have exposed myself either way just because I was sinking back into seventh grade when I was thinking about cutting.
I'm locked in a stall now. I tie my blonde hair up a certain way so it can go under the wig without making a weird lump.
I pull the wig on and change my clothes into jeans and a t-shirt and converse.
I had Conner leak a thing that says that I'm Addison is going to be at this school today.
The principal is letting the news crew in to go around seeing if it's true.
I take a deep breath and walk out of the stall. All of my stuff is in my backpack.
The guys are here.
The school is pretty small so everyone has one lunch.
I check myself in the mirror one last time and walk into the hallway.
One girl screams and falls down.
It's the same girl that pushed me into the lockers earlier so hard that I bruised my arm.
But I help her up because that's just who I am.
"Okay?" I ask. She nods, tears of shock sliding down her cheek. I smile and walk away.
They don't realize that I have the same backpack.
I walk into the lunchroom and the news crew is in here.
Mike, Conner, and Colter are sitting with Abby and Jared, who are just grinning like idiots. People flip when I walk in.
They give me reassuring looks and the principal nearly trips over herself to hand me a microphone.
"Thank you." I say.
"Let's hope Amanda isn't here! She would give you guys hate." One girl says. I turn on the microphone.
"Hi guys." I say. Everyone grins. "I'm not here for handing out concert tickets, signing autographs or anything Addison related." I admit.
Everyone looks confused now.
"I'm here for someone..." I take a deep breath. "Her name is actually Amanda Harp."
Silence. The silence is so deafening that it's loud as hell. Teachers start coming in and I can tell by how packed the lunchroom is that everyone in the entire school is in here.
"But she hates your bands!" Abby says.
"No she doesn't." I scoff. "And when I was in seventh grade, I was bullied." I say. "Nobody knows this until now. I was bullied terribly. Originally I'm from Georgia. So are Mike, Conner, and Colter." I take a deep breath. "When I was in third grade, I decided I was done being bored. I wanted something more of life. My parents just wanted me and my brother to follow our dreams, and I liked to sing. The boys and I have known each other since...before birth and they wanted the same thing as me, so all of us moved out to California. I was broke at first. We were living off of ramen noodles for years. Then seventh grade came and we came up with the idea to fake our identities till we're out of school because I was bullied. I didn't want people to not like me for me. There was only my family and the guys who are basically family, and two people who are sitting in this room right now with no clue who they are." I sigh. "So we hit stardom and we were rich in weeks. We moved out of our house into another one. I couldn't take the two other people there because it wouldn't make sense. Why would a poor girl live in a house worth over a million dollars, right?" Everyone nods in agreement. "Anyways, I know Amanda. I know her better than most, except for, well, except for Mike, Conner, and Colter." People start murmuring in confusion. "I've been in her room. She doesn't hate Falling Stars. The whole world hates Amanda Harp because they think she doesn't like Falling Stars. Everyone thinks she hates the guys because someone asked her if she kissed them on Friday and she got disgusted." I bite my lip. "But she got disgusted because the idea of kissing three boys that are like her brothers is...gross."
