Conversations

I was woken up by the sound of my alarm ringing. I got up from the bed, did my morning chores and got ready and moved down.

I went to the kitchen only to see Angie in tension.

"What happened Angie? All good? You look a bit tensed" I asked her.

"Rose my daughter is in her last month of pregnancy. I wanted to be with her. To take care of her." She replied.

"Oh only for that you are tensed. You would have just told me so. You can surely take one month leave. Wait here, I'll  go and bring your paycheck. Then you can leave. Don't worry, if you need any help just tell me." 

"But if I'll go.." I politely cut her off and said "I am going for a meeting in London so don't worry, I also know how to cook. So just don't worry and take care of your daughter."

"God bless you my child!" she said caressing my cheek lovingly. 

After she left I made some sandwiches for both of us. After that I made my way towards his room.

Knock knock.

After a faint "Yes" I opened the door and moved in.

"I came to say that breakfast is ready. Angie wanted to go to her pregnant daughter so I gave her one month leave." I quietly informed him.

"Yeah. That's good. I'll join you at the table." he replied with a genuine smile.

"Ok" I reciprocated  him a smile.

I was sitting at the table and he joined me. 

"umm... Xander asked me to accompany him to the meeting to London. So i'll have to go on Monday with him. You won't mind, right?" I asked him nervously waiting for his answer.

"See Rose... I hope I can call you that?" he asked looking at me.

I gave him a nod at that.

"So the thing is you don't have to seek my permission for everything you do. You are mature and big enough to take your own decision, but you just need to inform me so that I don't get worried and you have to take care of your health too. Coming to the London topic, I too have a  meeting on Monday there so why don't you come with me there. After the meeting we'll spend a day or two in Paris and then return." 

"but Xander already booked the tickets..." he cut me off.

"I'll talk with Xander. You just pack you bags. Ok?" he asked raising an eyebrow at me.

"Ok"

After the conversation with Xavier, I was working on the project that I forgot the time. It was nearly 6 when Xavier knocked on the door. 

"Maybe you can live without both lunch and dinner, but I need something to feel my tummy" He said with a grin and hint of amusement in his eyes.

" I am really sorry. I just make some thing for you..." I said standing up from the bed.

" Hey chill! I was just joking. How 'bout we go out for dinner?"

"yeah it's ok"

"ok then. You get ready then we will leave for the diner." he said and walked towards  his room.
