Chapter One

**Melody P.O.V**

"Jack stopppp" i just dont understand why he always have to tickle me. "Fineeeee" he huffed i giggled at his annoyance. I looked at him and he was staring at me i could help but like him,falling for him every day, i dont mean to like my bestfreind but i do i just do.

I broke the stare and was snapped out of my thoughts by jack "whatcha thinking about melody" he was looking at me waiting for a response. "i uh-nothing" i sighed hoping he didnt know i was lying."Come on tell me im you bestfreind" i quickly made a lie up "i was think about the first day of school and if theyre gonna do what they did last year to me" he hugged me gosh i love his hugs.

"They won't I promise I'll be there for you and I won't leave your side we do have every class together so that's a plus!" he said smiling I .smiled back at him.It wasn't a complete lie I was scared of getting bullied and beat up again. It was a consistent thing last year I'm just glad this is my senior year maybe they will change or already have changed. To be honest I was completely scared out of my mind to go back to school.

" Mel lets go get Starbucks to get your mind of things" jack said snapping me out of my thoughts once again. "yeah sure lets go let me grab my wallet" "No I'll pay I insist Mel" I smiled at him and he returned the smile. Jack is always at my mom is usually gone with her boyfriend she practically lives there. As for my dad he's locked up and has never been in my life.

Me and jack got off my bed and started to walk downstairs. "wanna penny board there" I asked Jack "duhh why wouldn't i" I started to laugh.

We walked outside and I grabbed my teal penny board out of the garage and Jack grabbed his red one.

We started to penny board to started to Starbucks, we had small talk on the way there. When we got to Starbucks I ordered a cotton candy frappe and Jack got a Carmel chocolate chip frappe. We walked over to a table and put our penny boards down and our drinks and sat down.

"so Mel why didn't you tell me they bullied you and called you names sooner than a couple weeks before school ended last year" I was in shock to as if he was mad at me or just curious I went with my second opinion. "I didn't tell you sooner because I didn't want you to worry I'm sorry jack" "it's ok I just wanted to help you and I felt so bad I couldn't I knew you started to act different last year but I didn't know why" I could tell it bugged him I never told him till a couple weeks before school ended.

"Enough about me, wanna watch a movie when we get back to my house we can run to the store and get some candy to" "yeah sure lets go" he replied to me I was happy he was willing to watch a movie with me.
