I do not own HOO or PJO.

Camp Primordial was peaceful today. The sun shined brightly and birds flew gracefully. A perfect start of the day as I ran to the pavilion to grab breakfast.

"Morning, Syd!" My friend Morgan, daughter of Ananke, yelled. I waved and grabbed a tray full of food.

That's when I heard it. The magic barrier around camp shattering like glass. I heard younger campers were screaming and the clanging of metal hitting. Monsters raided the camp. They set the cabins on fir and killed campers who got in their way. Unable to get to my sword in time I used my food tray to smack the monsters.

To say I was piss that my cabin was now burning to the ground was an understatement. I hit another monster upside the head with the tray. Unknowingly to me the Minotaur was sneaking up behind me. A club was swung at my head and I crumpled to the ground. Black dots danced as my eyes started to close. After watching the Minotaur run off I finally blacked out.

When I woke up my head was pounding. Why do I feel like I'm in a hangover? Someone yanked me to my feet.

"Get up, traitor." Someone hissed. That woke me up.

"Did you just call me a traitor?" I asked. Then I realized that it was my father, Pontus.

"Yes. You led the monster here. You broke the barrier. This is all your fault. Your no daughter of mine. I, Pontus, god of the seas disown my daughter, Sydney Altair." My father spat. I felt like crying.

Run. Run before he kills you, Sydney. Someone said inside my mind. I looked over his shoulder to see all my former friends glaring at me angrily. Suddenly my body was cold. I could feel myself change. I staggered back and clutched my chest in pain. I whimpered in pain, but no look of worry appeared on my former father's face. They. . . they don't believe that I'm pain.

I turned and ran. Shouts of protest yelled at me, but I didn't stop. I let my feet carry me as fast as they could. The pain stopped and I felt something new. But I couldn't place the feeling so I stopped and put my hand on the side of a tree. Frost climbed up the tree from where my hand had touched it. I yelped and fell back into a creak. It froze around me. Now I was scared. What happened to me? I sighed and got the the water (it looks like my powers over water still worked 'cause I dry). Looking around me I saw that a huge circle of snow covered grass surrounded me. Tree's were covered in crystallizing frost and the creak was frozen. I've never been able to do this before.

My panic must've caused this. I thought. After I calmed down I got up and started walking away. Questions bombarded my mind. What am I going to do? Where will I go?

Go to New york. The mystery voice said again.

Who are you? Why should I listen to you? I tried thinking to the person.

I'm Chaos. I'm helping you start anew. Go to New york, a friend of mine will pick you up there. Forget your former friends. Chaos said. And you should listen to me because I am your real father. This hit me like on arrow striking a bulls eyes. Pontus wasn't my real father?

Then why didn't you contact me before this? I demanded.

I could hear Chaos sigh. Listen Sydney, I can't talk to you any longer but I'm unlocking your powers now. Oh, and Sydney I suggest you look in a mirror sometime. Chaos said. A burst of power suddenly exploded inside me. I felt like I could destroy a building with a touch of my pinky. I sighed in defeat and started my long way to New york, NY. Goodbye Utah.

I laughed out loud as I jumped building to building, my hair blowing behind me. In one move I took a leap of faith off the building and landed in a truck of hay. I then silently climbed out of the truck and walked around Pennsylvania before I had to go to New york.

Omega will meet you on Long Island, Syd. I heard my father say inside my head. I sighed, on the roadd again. Instead of walking I melted into the shadows and reappeared on Long Island bay. A hooded figure sat criscross apple sause. I kneeled down and poked his head.

"Hey, you this person my dad sent?" I asked. He got up and offered his hand. I rolled my eyes and took it.

That was the day Sydney died and Alpha was born.
