Chapter 10: Graduation Ball part.2

Jheff's POV

I'm now preparing for JAU's graduation ball while trying to call Minda. She's still not answering my call after accepting my invitation to be her date. I'm wearing brown formal suit, sa loob ay may black turtle neck and I also used my necklace and glasses. I don't plan to waste my time for their graduation ball, but since Minda will be there, then I'll go.

I think, that's love, joke!

Well, let me tell you some story about sa kung paano ako binihag ni Minda. Karamihan sa atin ay hindi naniniwala sa 'love at first sight', I'm one of them, ahe! Well, it started when I'm in library studying about our research dahil next week na ang defense namin no'n. Suddenly, our office called me to be their tour guide for 1 day, I honestly don't want to be their tour guide, like bakit hindi nalang sila mag-tour ng sarili nila? Right? But I'd come.

While opening the door and still thinking our research, there's a slow-motion between my two eyes and this beautiful girl infront of me. Like, hek! I'm surely inlove with her. Do I? Or masyado naman atang OA na sa isang tingin lang ay magkakagusto na agad ako sa isang girl? What? Speed lang? Lol. I can't explain anymore and story ends.

So back to the reality, I'm still calling her but she's not answering it. What happened to her? I'm kinda worried. Should I come pa ba? E s'ya lang naman ang pupuntahan ko ron.

It's 8 in the evening yet she still not answering my calls and texts. I'd come. I called our driver and took me to SAU's. Naka-unli naman ako, kaya unlimited din ang tawag and text ko sakanya. Now that I already here in SAU, nagtataka ako ba't grabe naman ang tingin nila sakin.

"Dude!!!" someone called me. It's Miguel, a honor student from SJA also.

"Yo, bro. Where are the others?" I asked. While still looking for Minda, malay mo makita ko. Well, 'di naman sa pag-o-OA, pero kasi I'm her date for tonight so I should take care of her. Ahe!

"Parating palang daw, papasok kana ba sa loob?" He asked. Kung iki-criticize ko s'ya based sa kilos n'ya ngayon, maybe he's shy sa mga students dito sa SAU. Oh well, ako rin naman. But I want to go in myself, para kapag nakita ko si Minda then maso-solo ko s'ya.

"No, you can wait there if you want, but I'll come in by myself hehe. I'm looking for someone kasi!" I told him to wait our companions outside the school.

"Okay, then. See you, later nalang dude!"

Then I slowly enter SAU's covered court while looking for Minda. There are so many students here, many them are looking for chairs while some of them are dancing without music. Haha. I'm now inside the covered court and still looking for her when someone sudden—

"OUCH!!" I shout gently.

... and suddenly collided me.

"Oy oy oy, pasensya n— Jheff!!!" sounds familiar.

It's my girl!

"Woah! Minda! I didn't expect this would happened, ha! Parang napapanood ko lang 'to sa TV, tapos magiging sila sa dulo. Ahe!" I joked at her. Well, it's corny huhu.

"Corny mo, conyo!"

"Woah, rhyme!" her face took my attention, it's wet! Buti i got my tissues in my pocket, "Hey, wait, wait! Your face kinda wet, may tissues ako dito punasan ko."

"Akin nalang, ako nalang magpupunas, baliw." nahihiya n'yang sabihin sa'kin.

"Okay lang, gusto naman kita eh." without thinking my words.

"H-HAAA?" she shouted. But it's not that loud.

"No, no! I mean, gusto ko naman na punasan 'yang mukha ko. Hehe. Ang talas naman ng tenga mo." I slowly took my tissues and put it on her beautiful face, "Ang ganda mo."

"Kailangan ko bang mag-thank you."

"Hmm, what do you think?"

"Thank you! Si Yurie gumawa nito." Who's Yurie?

"Yurie? Who's that?"

"Ah, kaibigan ko s'ya. Wanna meet?" ofcourse, kailangan kong magpalakas sa mga kaibigan n'ya.

"Can I?" pagtapos kong punasan ang mukha n'ya, agad din kaming nagtungo papunta sa upuan nila. While walking, I heared someone shouting Minda's name, they're asking for dance with her. Does she have her fandoms here? "Hey, hey. What's the name of you fandom?"

"Loko! Hayaan mo sila, isasayaw ko 'yan sila mamaya isa-isa" patawa n'yang banggit sakin.

"Really??? Sa dami nila, how 'bout me? Ahi!" lungkot na pagkakasabi ko sakanya, para makonsensya. Pero natawa lang s'ya sa reaksyon ko.

May nakakatawa?

"Minda!" someone called her again.

"Oh, Nathan jan ka na pala." Nathan? S'ya nanaman.

"Kanina pa kita hinahanap, kausap mo lang nanaman pala 'to." habang nakatingin sakin. He's so serious, ha.

"Oo nga, siyempre s'ya 'yung date ko eh, normal lang naman 'yun diba?" Minda spoke. Yes Minda, fight for me! "E kayo ni Yurie, nagkita na ba kayo?"

"Oo, kakadaan ko lang don at tinanong ko kung nasaan ka at sabi n'ya naghahanap ka ng tissue, kaya dinalhan kita!" sabi n'ya habang nakataas ang dala n'yang tissue.

"Oy, salamat! Pero napunasan ko na mukha ko kasi sakto dumating si Jheff tapos may dalang tissue!

Ahe!

Marahang binaba ni Nathan 'yung dala n'yang tissue and suddenly Minda spoke again.

"Hep! Incase, baka kailangan ko ulit 'yan, okay ba?" at sinunggaban ni Minda ang tissue na bitbit ni Nathan.

Then Nathan suddenly took Minda away from me. W-wait, ako date non ah.

"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to San Agustin University Graduation Ball for the school year of 1991-1992! Please remain sitdowns. Thankyou!"
