"Crystal!" Janice my adopted mother yells from the bottom of the stairs. I sighed and walked down. "What is it mom?" I said softly scared and frightened as I shuffled my feet a little."Your grades are slipping from A's to B's!" she yells furiously and waves her hands angrily. "Please....Im sorry.....I-I will try better...." I said looking at her in fear as i take a few steps back ready to run if needed."That is no exuse! I did not adopt you so you could fool around!" she yells and smacks me causing me to hold it in pain. "Now go to your room and think about what you did!" she finnaly said as I ran upstairs to my room. I looked in my mirror and saw that it was bleeding and winced as I pressed on it. I opened a drawer with disinfectant and bandages and started to treat the wound.
