Chpater 35 [ Epilogue ]

*5 years later*

Athena P.O.V

I woke up in the middle of the night by my phone ringing, Leonardo was soundly sleeping beside me as his hands were wrapped around me from behind. I sleepily reached with hand to my phone which was on the nightstand beside my bed. I took my phone, opening my eyes enough to answer the call I put my phone on my ears.

" y-yes ?" I asked sleepily

" Doctor Athena! you have to come here right now! We are in a mess, there were car accident and the driver of one of the cars needs head surgery immediately," my eyes flew open

" I am on my way," I said before hanging up, i turned around so I will be facing Leonardo

" Leonardo baby, i must leave," I said, but he didn't unwrap his arms around me

" baby, there is an emergency," I told him and he slowly opened his eyes

" again???" He asked sounding disappointed and annoyed, well I can't blame him, being a doctor does not know the time, whenever you are needed you must go, and that can be anytime, anywhere

I smiled before pecking his lips

" I am sorry, I will be back as soon as I am done." He nodded before pecking my lips as well and unwrapped his arms around me.

I quickly walked towards my closet as I wore something quickly, I didn't even have time to wash my face, i quickly walked towards the bedroom door, opening it quickly only to be welcomed by most beautiful sight ever.

There stood my two angels

Daniel and Diana, they were both holding their favorite teddy close to them, and they looked so Sleepy

" babies, what is wrong?" I asked them as I kneeled down in front of them

" Mommy I am scared," My princess said

" I tried to comfort her mommy, but she was still scared so we came here, can we sleep with you and daddy?" Daniel asked with his beautiful brown eyes looking at me hopefully

" of course babies, come " I took their small hands in mines before putting them both on the bed next to Leonardo

" what do we have here?" Leonardo asked sweetly before opening his arms for them and they both excitedly went to his arm, I loved this sight so much that I could stare at it all day, but I have to go

" I am off" I whispered for Leonardo who just nodded before helping the kids to get under the bed cover and held them close to his chest.

Perfect husband and perfect father.

I washed my hand before getting out of the sugary section. outside were some people waiting, probably the patient family or friends

" doctor how is my husband?? is he ok???" Said an old lady probably at her 50's

" he will be fine, the surgery was successful. We must wait till he will wake up to make a further statement about his health" they all sighed in relief

" thank you, doctor," said a girl with the old lady

" your welcome dear, please don't pressure yourselves everything will be fine," I said with a smile and they nodded in respond

I walked towards the doctor's locker room so I can change my surgery outfit and put my normal outfit on once more

" you look tired " I smiled hearing Bruce voice

" I am, I can't sleep a lot anymore, but I am not complaining," I said as I stretched my arms massaging them

It took me 4 hours in surgery, I am so tired and it is almost my working hours

" My poor bitch is always so tired, how are your little devils doing?" He asked as he sat beside me on the chair

" angels you mean, and they are fine they were so cute before I came. Diana had a nightmare so they came to sleep next to Leo" I said imagining the sense right in front of me again

" glad they are ok." He replied

" How are you and Aiden doing together, everything is fine?" He smiled and nodded

They are the best, and one of the treasures I got in this world

" where is he now though?" I asked curiously

" your brother is in surgery and he isn't done yet" I nodded in understanding

I and Aiden are now neurosurgeon while Bruce is a cardiac surgeon, in another word me and Aiden do surgeries for brain while Bruce is for heart.

" you will go home now?" He asked curiously

" I will go back home to check on the babies and I will be back, later on, to check on my patients" he nodded and I stood up from my seat

" see you later Brucey " he smiled

" see you later" he replied, I then made my way out of the hospital and got inside my car

It is 6 am right now they might be still asleep

Though Leonardo is a morning person, he does not mind sleeping more because of me or our babies.

I gave birth to our twins 4 years ago and they are our everything.

I was so happy to find out we will be welcoming a twin and they are a girl and a boy.

It was hard but seeing them or holding them in my arms made every pain I went through worth it.

I parked my car in our house garage the guards nodded their heads for me with a smile and I return the smile back.

Leonardo has lots of mansions, but I chose the smallest of them all because I said It is safer for our babies and it can be controlled by security easier as well, so we are sure nothing bad will happen. I really liked the house we spent our first month of marriage in it, but Leonardo kept saying it was too small so I didn't argue.

I unlocked the door softly before making my way towards upstairs and opened our bedroom door.

And just as I wished they are all still in the same position, I took my high heels off before going to my empty space that was on the bed. Leonardo was sleeping on the left side, one of his arms as a pillow for Diana and Daniel, I slowly laid down beside Daniel being careful not to wake them up. I hold on Leonardo's hand beside Daniel's head and gave his knuckles a soft kiss, his hand squeezed mine softly. I knew he would know when I am back. I closed my eyes with a smile on my face. I just don't think my life can get any better than it already is.

I am blessed with a loving big family and friends.
I am blessed to have ever met Leonardo in my life.
I am blessed with our two little angels.

I am blessed with a caring mother and father in law.

I am blessed with a loving brother and his boyfriend Bruce.

I am blessed with Thomas, Emy, and Liam.

I am blessed with Adam, Lisa, and their little daughter Helen.

I blessed with amazing friends like Ava, Sophia, Lucas, James, and many more.

I am blessed to have an amazing job and amazing stuff in the hospital.

I don't care what life has planned for us, but I will enjoy each second that I spend with my precious ones fully, and if there be any danger ahead of us, no matter what, i know we can face it together.

Finally! It is done! I am so happy that my second book came to an end now! I just hope everyone enjoyed reading it, as much as I enjoyed writing it!

I was thinking about maybe making the second book of King's revenge but I am still not sure, but for now my third book will be out starting next week!
