The reader is a Hunter and this is basically an AU where instead of Cayde dying, the reader dies. Yay! Angst! Also your Ghost's name is Nyx. Yay!

"At any second Petra and Cayde are going to run in here and kill of you son of bitches," you spat.

Uldren smirked, "Oh really? Then they better hurry up, because you don't have much time left."

Bang!

This wasn't a prison riot, it was a prison break.

Those words kept running through Cayde's head.

"Uldren, he's escaping!" Petra yelled through the comms.

"Not if I stop him," you said through the comms.

"(Y/N) no! Wait for Petra and I!" Cayde commanded.

"If I wait, he'll be gone! We can't risk that!" You argued.

"(Y/N), I am your Vanguard and I am ordering you to stop!" Cayde yelled.

"I'm sorry Cayde, but I have to do this," you said, then suddenly all comms turned to static.

Running to the side, Cayde saw the control center start to fall with you on it. The impact shook the entire prison, making the platform Cayde was standing on break and he fell.

The fall made Cayde extremely weak, near death of course.

"Help me out here," Cayde said, summoning Sundance.

"We better hurry Cayde, I sense something in here, something bad," Sundance said.

Cayde nodded as Sundance healed him. He pulled out Ace Of Spades and began running towards the area you fell. Of course, Sundance was showing him where to go.

On the way to where you had fell, something moved in the darkness beside Cayde.

"What was that..?" Cayde asked, pointing Ace Of Spades in the direction the figure moved.

"I told you, something's here," Sundance said.

"Something we've faced before?" Cayde asked, continuing his walking pace in the vent.

"No. Something new, something dangerous."

*Your POV*

After the crash that sent you about 20 or so floors down, it killed you instantly, but luckily Nyx resurrected you.

"Ah, that was refreshing," you smile, getting up.

Nyx rolls her eye, "Of course you would think that."

You laughed, grabbing your Hand Cannon, which you, of course, called Risky Death.

You heard growling starting to surround you, making you frown.

"All right, how 'bout you all go back to your cages and nobody gets hurt!" You yelled.

None of the Scorn moved making you shot in the air, shouting again, "I said back in your cages!"

They began running at you from all directions and once they did, you began to shoot them down one by one.

Unfortunately, you had to reload and more Scorn were coming so you ran on top of the crashed control center, setting down your swarm grenade and jumped onto a broken platform.

Reloading your gun, you started to shoot them from the platform you were on, till one of them shot the platform. Panicking, you actived Golden Gun and shot the remaining Scorn. The only ones that were left were Uldren and his Barons.
