"Dream, you know I have videos to edit, one's supposed to be up by 3 and it's already-"

"Nope, you've been sitting there for hours," Dream said, practically dragging George out of the house. "You need some fresh air."

"I could open a wi-"

"That doesn't count."

George sighed and allowed himself to be led out of the house, resigning to the fact that the video will come out late. The pair left the neighborhood and headed to a park about 3 blocks away.

It was a mixture of sunny and cloudy, with some of the clouds coming in looking concerningly gray. But the pair walked on down the winding concrete path, lapsing into a comfortable silence as they admired the scenery.

The park was quite pretty. There were no trees by the pathway as to avoid leaves getting in the way, but there were some tall oaks standing in the middle of a grassy field. Benches lined the path every 10 or so yards with little covered picnic areas every 100 or so yards.

George glanced up, squinting as the sun bored into his eyes. The clouds were fast approaching, quickly covering the area in a subtle darkness. "Uh, Dream?"

A hum of recognition from the tall boy next to him.

"I think it's gonna rain."

Dream looked up as well, his pace slowing slightly. "I'm sure it'll be fine." Pause. "Probably." His pace returned to normal and George had to jog to catch up to him.

"We should head home, Dream, its-" The wind picked up. "It's totally gonna rain."

He stopped and looked over at George. "You can just say that you don't wanna go on a walk, you don't have to be so-..." Drip. A drop of water fell between them, splattering on the pavement. Followed by another, and another, and suddenly it was pouring on the two.

Dream grabbed George's arm and the two ran to a gazebo, rain flying into their faces thanks to the ever-strengthening wind. They made it under the somewhat small roof and into a dry spot.

Dream glanced out at the now waterlogged park and made a face. "God, it started raining out of nowhere. Should we wait this out or run home?" He turned back to George only to see the brunette shivering.

George's shirt was almost completely soaked, and he didn't bring a jacket or anything to keep him warm. He sat on one of the benches on the outer edge of the gazebo and rubbed at his arms, which were covered in goosebumps. "W-We should wait this out," he stuttered, his teeth chattering.

Ah, damn. Dream paused for a moment, looking at the shaking form of his friend, sighed, and started taking off his hoodie.

"Wh-What are you d-d-doing??"

He tossed his light green hoodie at George and sat down next to him. "You're freezing."

"You'll f-freeze too????"

"Just put it on, George."

George reluctantly put it on. The warmth quickly eased his shivering and teeth chattering.

Dream awkwardly picked at his thumbnail for a moment. "I'm... I'm sorry for dragging you out here. And for not listening to you," he mumbled.

The shorter of the two shrugged and scooted closer to Dream, practically burying himself in the hoodie. "It's... fine. I guess. But I'm blaming you for my video being out late."

"That's fair."

Short pause.

George sighed and rested his head on Dream's shoulder, looking out at the park, rain still pouring down. "Let me know when it stops so we can go home, 'kay?" he said quietly, closing his eyes.

Heat rose to Dream's face. "Y-Yeah. I will."

And the two once again fell into a comfortable silence as the storm raged on around them.
