Leo's Pov
I had just rescued Calypso from her island, after being dead. For how long? I'm still not sure. We soared off into the unknown on Festus. I had no clue where we were so I didn't know a safe place to go and fix Festus. "Where are we?" Calypso asked. "Sunshine, if I knew, I would've already told you." She didn't reply. We were no where near the United States, I knew that.

It was starting to get late so I had to find a place to land Festus. "Festus, land right in that opening in the forest" I pointed towards the place I had just described. Okay, was what all that my bronze dragon replied, in mechanic, as we zoomed towards a forest. I still had no clue where we were.

"Stay here I'll go find some wood for fire" I told Calypso. She nodded. I turned and walked into the forest trying to find some wood, or at least a small tree to cut down. I kept walking deeper and deeper when I came across a small pond, or swamp. There was an old tree that a beaver cut down. I cut up the tree into smaller pieces and walked back to where Calypso and Festus were.

Calypso was sitting pretzel style while unloading some of her supplies she brought from Ogygia. I set the wood down and set my hands ablaze. I waited for the logs to catch fire. "So are you looking for something specific?" I asked her. "I'm just looking for some blankets tha- Ah here they are!" I smiled. A real smile for once. I sat down next to her and helped her put everything back in her bag.

"Leo you had a rough day after being dead and coming back. You should get some rest" I frowned. "But what abou-" she cut me off. "That can wait until tomorrow" I nodded. I laid down next to my fire. Calypso covered me with a blanket. I fell asleep about five minutes later.

I didn't have any bad dreams. It was a good night. Maybe it was because Calypso was next to me and Festus's breathing and his gears turning soothes me down. I woke up at sunrise to see Calypso already awake. "Morning Leo" I sat up "morning" I answered. "So I spotted some mysterious people about a mile away.. We should get going." I nodded. I gathered my thing and woke up Festus.

Festus had a hard time getting into the air. That worried me a little. He should be able to hold off for a couple more hours. We had a bumpy ride over the bright, blue sky. After about an hour and a half, Festus was starting to give out. "Festus, what's wrong?!" I yelled. I turned around to look at Calypso's scared expression. Starting to-to-to... Festus began but then he stopped. Literally. Everything inside him shut down. He began descending quickly towards Earth. The only two sounds I heard was the booming sound of wind in my ears and Calypso screaming.

I tried to ignore the sounds as I popped the dragon's head open and began trying to fix him and get him flying again. 400ft from the ground. 300ft. I'm panicking. I try to figure out what to do. 200ft. I grabbed my Archimedes sphere to see what it can do. My hands were shaking so bad that the sphere slipped and fell to the ground. Whoops.. 100ft. I grabbed Calypso's hand as we fell. Oh wow I'm going to die again.. And I'm going to bring my love with me. How wonderful.., is what I thought to myself. I turned my back to the Earth and held Calypso in my arms as we hit the ground.

I heard nothing at first except for what sounded like an explosion. I stood up and there was a big crater-like hole in the ground where we hit. I looked around. Where's Calypso? I looked down to see her lifeless. That's impossible I blocked her with my body.. Then it hit me. Fire. I grabbed her shoulders and began shaking her. "Calypso please.. I just saved you. I want to spend my life with you, just please don't leave me.." I cried over her.

I put my head on her chest. No sound. I began crying more. "Calypso no please.. I love you! I swore on the Styx that I would come back for you! I did! I died and came back just to be with you!" I sobbed over her. "I told you I should've fixed Festus last night.. You wouldn't let me. I shouldn't have listened. I'm sorry.."

I finally gave up and accepted the fact that she was gone for good. Festus disappeared. That probably means my dad teleported him to Bunker 9 for me so I started walking. I screamed and yelled at myself for being so stupid.

I found a little town. I asked a man what town is this. "Monterrey , México" he replied. "Gracias . ¿cuál es la manera más rápida de transporte Florida sin tomar un avión?" (thank you. What is the fastest transportation to Florida without taking a plane?) I asked. "hay una estación de autobuses a unos 10 kilómetros al norte. usted puede tomar que a Lousiana , probablemente , no la florida , lo siento" (there is a bus station about 10 miles north. You can take that to Louisiana, probably, not Florida, sorry) "no, eso es genial, gracias" (no, that's great, thanks)

After about 2-3 hours, maybe more, I arrive at the bus station. About 12 hours (that's what it felt like) later I arrived in Louisiana. I settled there for a couple days as I thought to myself about how I let Calypso die. Not that I wanted her to die, because I didn't. I wanted to spend my life with her. Well, our question was answered, she wasn't immortal as she came off Ogygia..

I'll go back to camp for a while. I'll let the others know I'm okay, if they are still alive because I still don't know how long I've been gone. I'll go and fix Festus. I'll stay for a little while. Hopefully, I'll be able to find love again. I'll be lucky if I ever smile again...
