 JKATJ

I woke up to Diary of Jane playing on my radio. Slamming my hand down on it, I shut up it then rolled over onto my back.

Great. Another day, another trip to hell. I sighed get out of bed and went into my walk-in closet. (Yup, my parents are rich. Get over it.) I grabbed black ripped skinny jeans, a beanie and a “Asking Alexandria” shirt and laid it all on my bed. I added some band bracelets and black and purple DCs before jumping into the shower.

I hop out and throw my awesome outfit on then stare at myself in the mirror.

Hmmm what kind of make should I do today? Oh, I know!

I grabbed my eyeliner and put on the top and bottom of my eyes. I added mascara to both the top and bottom of my eyelashes as well. Then black eye shadow.

All dark today.

I put a purple clip in my hair and brush my blue bangs to the side. Then I teased my hair and added hairspray to keep it in place.

I look fucking awesome, I decide as I look in the mirror again. My skin was very pale and sadly, because of my low self-esteem I have cut marks on my arms but whatever. I had dyed my hair black with blue bangs, something I had wanted to do for a while, and still loved it. I have my lip and ears pierced already but I am going to get my eyebrow pierced this weekend with my friend, Alex. I grabbed my bag, my iPod, phone and something I could never forget in my life: my skateboard. Yes I am a skater, deal with it.

I run downstairs to see my stuck-up slutty twin and roll my eyes. We use to be close until we go in to high school...and she decided to sleep with the whole school. We both had blond hair and blue eyes but i dyed my hair because I was sick of people getting us mixed up.

“Hey, emo freak.” She greeted me with an evil smile on her face.

I put on a fake smile on my face. “Hey, slutty bitch. I think you have way to much shit on your face. Are you trying to sign up for the circus as a clown? I am sure you will get in if you open your legs wide enough.” I said as my mom came into the kitchen.

My mom didn’t have a problem with the way I dress or anything. She had a problem with the type of music I listened to. She thought it changed me as person. I use to be “innocent” and then once I got in to high school and started to find my own music, I became the “problem child.”

“Katlyn, must you talk to Nichole like that?” She asked with a disapproving look on her face.

I shrugged my shoulders. “She started and I ended.” I said as I grabbed a pop tart.

“Apologize to your sister.” She scolded me as I grabbed my bag.

I held up my hands and backed out the room, “I don’t have time to waste my breath.”

I raced out of the door before she could say anything else. I jumped on my board and started skating down the street to my friend Alex’s house. He didn’t live far, at least I could always escape there.

When I arrived, I picked up my board and walked straight in. I mean he owns the damn house and lives there with his two brothers so it’s pretty chilled.

“Honey, I’m home!” I shouted as James was coming down the steps.

“What’s up, Short Stuff?” He hugged me then ruffled my hair.

I pouted and fixed my hair as Marcus and Alex came in to the room and greeted me with a hug.

“Just because I am fucking short doesn’t mean you can mess with the hair.” I said glaring playfully at James.

“Sorry, didn’t get the memo.” He teased ruffling it again.

I smoothed my hair giving him an icy look. “You guys ready for the wonderful thing we call ‘school’?” I asked sarcastically.

They all shook their heads and grabbed their bags.

“The day we’re all ready is the day we get checked into the hospital.” James said as he opened the door.

“Shot gun!” Marcus and I yelled at the same time. We ran to the car and Marcus got in the front seat first but I was having none of that. I climbed in too and sat on his lap.

“You do know I can get a ticket for you sitting on his lap right?” James asked as he hoped in the car.

I shrugged my shoulders, “Do I even care?”

“Judging by your defiant perch....no.” he replied as he started the car.

Once we got to the hell hole we call school; I hopped out the car and yelled “Land bitches!”

People started to look at me oddly...and with disgust. I put my head down. I may be out-going but I hate being judged. As I approached my locker, the biggest asshole of the school pushed me into it.

“Hey freak of nature did you slit your wrists again?” Miles asked sneering at me.

I straightened up and rolled my eyes, “Get lost jerk.” I muttered grabbing my books.

“Emo freak!” He shouted after me as I walked away.

I hugged my books to my chest and took a deep breath. Just ignore him. Don’t listen. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
