Dressed up in her blue blouse which had the school symbol embroidery on the left side of the shirt and grey skirt with belt around her waist, Swara looked at her reflection on the mirror. Memories flooded like a film as she saw herself in her school uniform once again.

"Swara, Are you ready?"

Hearing Reema's voice Swara quickly pulled her hair into a neat ponytail and wearing her diamond stud on her ears, taking her watch and her bag, Swara ran out of the room,

"Coming maasi."

Hearing the footsteps both Shekhar and Aditya looked up at the stairs to see Swara coming to the hallway in full swing. The house till yesterday was so silent and it was just with Swara's arrival the house was alive once again.

Swara ran to the kitchen and hugged her Reema maasi.

"Good morning beautiful. So what's my breakfast?" She asked all excited because she knew she would have done one of her favourite ones as breakfast for her. Reema smiled.

"Good morning sweetheart. It's your favourite french toast, pancakes with maple syrup, and--" Swara hugged her again and kissed her cheek.

"I love you-- one, two, three and to the infinty." Swara beamed in joy and all was witnessed by Shekhar and Aditya. Though both managed to keep a stern face outside, inside they were amused to see her getting all goofy and happy just because her favourite breakfast was made.

"Okay let's go the table." Reema said and Swara nodded with a smile.

Swara saw her father sitting on the main chair and her brother sitting near him.

"Good morning father, bhai." Swara greeted and as usual Shekhar greeted with a nod and Aditya didn't bother to reply. Swara sat opposite to Aditya and when her food was served she ate it with utter silence. According to Gagodias it was table manners not to speak while eating. Following the rule Swara did and waited for everyone to finish the meal and soon when they were done Swara too had her hands cleaned and she walked out.

"You'll be dropped by father." Swara pouted as she saw her brother walking out of the mansion. She actually thought it would be him but he rejected before she would ask him.  Seeing her father coming out her eyes lit up again.

"Raja will drop you." With that he too walked away. Swara felt hurt that she was either dropped by her father nor her brother on the first day of her school but being a sportive girl she was, Swara quickly put on a smile and hopped into the car where Raja was the buttler.

"Hi bhai." Swara smiled at him as Raja sat on the driving sitting.

"Namaste chotti madam." Raja greeted as he started the car engine.

"Bhaiya how many times should I tell you not to call me like that? I feel so old when you call me like that." Swara whined and Raja smiled. That's Swara... She never likes to be called that way and she had always treated him like her very own brother.

As Raja drove Swara looked at the roads reviving how she and Jay used to spent time at evenings after school, they passed by the football ground she remembered how she used to cheer him up when there was a football match and if the school team wins usually it was Jay who buys her ice-cream and in return if the team lost then it would be Swara's turn to get him an ice-cream to boast him for the next matches. Passing by the market now she remembered how she used to sneak out the house to get things from the market without anyone knowing about it in the house to buy her favorites and her maasi and she still consider that as real fun even now. When they passed by the Richard auditorium her smile drained as it was further replaced with memories which she guarded only to herself... those bitter memories.. Swara closed her eyes and took a deep breathe to catch her emotions on hold.
